121 (V324 KGW), the London Trident extensively refurbished by Green Bus has now been re-registered as V15 TGB. It was working school service HC1 morning and afternoon today so they clearly aren't worried about putting it on school routes!

It was one of quite an interesting assortment of buses working the HC's: 121 on the HC1, the two ex TWM Metrobuses 3(0)13 and (2)989 on the 3 and 4, and fleetnumberless YN51 KUX on the 2; this bus is not in Green Bus livery and never will be as it is on loan and is going back to London either this weekend or the next. It has great acceleration and gears and is certainly a lot better than its sister KVF (119) but has a rather depressing top speed of 38. Certainly doesn't take long to reach that though.

Driving to London at a mere 38mph...

Driving to Dundee must be depressing though.

Several of the Abellio/Travel London Tridents are restricted to 38mph, same as other London Operators. I have driven several between Battersea and Walsall at 38mph when Walsall was painting them

That is almost flashing orange light territory!!

Reminds me of our old ECW Olympians, one of which had a top speed of 42/43, not great when you emerge onto the Aston Expressway in the outside lane with traffic off the M6 whipping up your inside!

Nope again. V15TGB is carried by 115 as I posted earlier - & replied to by yourself....

Having seen it twice so far most recently on Friday I can assure you 121 carries V15 TGB, not sure why they chose that registration, but they have. See http://www.flickr.com/photos/gcbp/8161785410/

Do you have a Flickr account? Or Facebook? Would be interested to see that photo. Perhaps I've confused V15 TGB and V24 TGB, I know 121 has a 'TGB' reg and I was sure it was V15 TGB but both times iI got only a fleeting glance. However I know someone who works for Green Bus who said 121 has V15 TGB.

Not the best of photos but shows 115 with reg V15TGB.

I guess it must have been V24 TGB I saw on 121 then. Unless there's been a registration switch but that's very unlikely. I will double check with the guy at Green Bus when I get the chance.

Could it not have been V21GTB to match the fleet number?

To be quite honest, the more I try and remember, the more blurred my memory gets. All I am certain of is that 121 had a V-TGB reg. Next time I see it I will make sure to notice the number.
