After having looked on the DVLA Personalised Registrations site, I now think it's most likely that they are getting registrations based on their fleetnumbers rather than their original registrations, as V24 TGB is still available, but V15 TGB and V21 TGB are not. So it is most likely that 115 has V15 TGB and 121 has V21 TGB. Case closed.

on the plus side, a ex twm metro was on the 558 again today :)

Case was closed almost a fortnight ago, but someone kept arguing the toss.....  ::)

Multiple sources said 121 had V15. Only one source - this forum - said 115 had V15. After investigating I now know which is probably right. To be perfectly honest I won't know for sure until I get a proper look at it myself. So case most certainly was not closed a fortnight ago.

What more evidence do you need to see? The photo posted further up this thread clearly shows the registration 115 now carries.......

With respect, I only found one source stating incorrectly that 121 was V15TGB, that being a comment on a flickr photo, nothing wrong with that comment as it was possibly passed on in good intent. However, THREE sources here state 115 as V15TGB, ie me, said so after a) seeing said bus several times during the day, & b) doing a simple bit of online checking to correct the erroneous previous registration that both Tony & myself had. JC also posted a link to 115 carrying V15TGB. Finally, Tony's fleet list shows 115 as V15TGB....

I don't honestly see what "I won't know for sure until I get a proper look at it myself" implies, or perhaps "the memory is blurring again"?? To be frank though, & again apologies for labouring the point but 115 is V15TGB. I'm past caring now, but all but the hard of understanding know for sure, but PLEASE stop confusing the issue further.

nitromatt1

Sorry. I was by no means trying to argue that I was right, just wanted you to see from my perspective how confused it was. After seeing the photo evidence, clearly I withdrew my case. I completely accept I was wrong and apologize for pushing the point on.

Looks like you can no longer "get around for a pound". Green Bus have announced fare increases on all local bus services.

Ashley

I don't think it will put paying Green Bus passengers off

nitromatt1

Only the other week they were tweeting frantically about how their services were "still only £1". I suppose as long as they remain cheaper than NXWM then it shouldn't affect them too much. And I would take a Green Bus over a NXWM bus any day even if they were equal fares.

Ashley

Sometimes if the 558 is due and theres a 1 waiting ill more than likely wait because the Green Bus vehicle will certainly overtake the NXWM vehicle and if im to have a brief dig, TGB drivers seem to have better customer service skills, some NX ones just look right through you i feel

nitromatt1

I'd pick them simply for their range of vehicles. Not sure what's working the 558 now the darts have left? But as long as its a metro or oly then I'd be happy.

Ashley

It was all Tridents yesterday. Apparently 2989 will be on the 558 on December 13th I think somebody said but I suppose its unpredictable

nitromatt1

V310 KGW (TA10) and V311 KGW (TA11), two of the batch of tridents from London recently acquired by Green Bus, have been sold to Seaford & District, a small operator in.. Seaford. They have left and are both already in their new dark-green/cream colours which I think rather suit them.
