Must say that the Geminis now refurbished are looking new. Saw one a few days ago in Moor Street and you can really tell that NXWM have made an effort to make it sparkle and its worked!

The 81 is an amazing route. Even worse when you consider the worst of the hills has a bus stop in the middle of it! I can't believe the buses get started again after stopping there.

I know it is! Which is why I'm worried whats going to happen after the Excels are withdrawn, are the Merc's slightly too big perhaps? And would the sluggish new B7's make it up the hills!

A surprise repaint, but not retrim, is PB 1833

The three buses currently in the refurb bays at Walsall are
PE 1627; CV 4202; YW 4391

Tony,

4202 is a BC bus and is already in the new livery / re-trimmed, I assume it is a typo

Yes 4204, The seats at Miller Street for it are labelled up as 4202 which throws me.

I like the way that the silver around the headlights and on the grille has been left on. I feel that 1790/1792 look very strange without it.

I have a feeling 1833 might be going to be branded up for something. It is most unusual for the paintshop to put a bus outside without logos on. The normally only do it when it is waiting for a special set. The paintshop obviously have sets of the normal ones for scanias as 7029 & 7030 have received them

4202 sent to coventry from Birmingham Central garage??

Tony

No. As I corrected above it is 4204 getting a refurb at Walsall, but Miller Street have the seats labelled as belonging to 4202. The seats for 4202 were only retrimmed about two months ago, so it is just labelling error at Miller Street

Ashley

Saw 1833 on the 66 today, no branding, just standard fleetnames....the new shade of red makes so much of a difference on the Omnilinks, looked great.

Ashley
