4644 seen today on the 11E terminating in Acocks Green at around 1520ish. Must have gone onto the 37 extras between Acocks Green and Solihull. It does look quite good to be honest.

Which garages normally do the prep work as i know WB have reconstructed some buses back to normal like when 1699 had its accident and wondered if garages preped there own vehicles before beiing repainted or are sent to particular garages first then sent off for a repaint.

Ashley

All the refurbished Mercs should have been done like 1699 because they put a new floor down during its repairs, the inside just looks much brighter and appealing than the rest

No it hasn't had new seats Ashley.

MW

Just to confirm, 4644 has been retrimmed internally with the dotted seats. I think AG are on their way to lose the old seat trim as well, with only 4033 and a bunch of Geminis not in one of the newer trims.

Ashley

I thought 4033 had new trim back in 2007 or is that what you mean

No, 4033 still has the same trim as it had when new. It was the first President to be refurbished and they used the old TWM trim the same as before.

Take a look at this:

You can see through the downstairs windows that it's in the TWM trim.

Ashley

Seems like a bit of a waste of two repaints if its not been retrimmed the same as the other Presidents

It has been fully refurbished like all 4023-4124. It was the very first President to be refurbished, at a time when they were still using the old trim, so it is only a matter of months older than the other Presidents as far as interior condition is concerned.

Ashley

I know that, I just mean the then new type of trim was already being phased in at the time of 4033s toothpaste refurb (April 2007), mind you I suppose they did the same with 600 sending it back in old style trim, I suppose to put a positive spin on it, it makes it somewhat unique
