Kidderminster Update

As mentioned above the report from Will of vehicles transferred in is inaccurate!!
Y263 KNB was here Monday and I'm sure I saw Y2 JPT - has anyone thought of the chance both Y2 and Y3 JPT have been moved across?

In other news, the vehicles 'transferred in' for the 142/202 have appeared on the 303 and 3 - Black dart on 303 yesterday and V391 SVV on 3 today!

The new 1 service appears well used.

Whittle 3s were still getting good loads today so time will tell who wins the battle...

Thanks for the update Sam, I was thinking how the new/enhanced services were getting on in their first week. The 1 sounds particularly promising for its first week.

It makes you wonder what has been on the 202 if V391SVV is already being used on KR services

Yes and I would like to add that (W567 JVV) has been officially Kidderminster assigned because I noted on the back of the ticket machine inside it today a GREEN "KD" sticker and I have also noted today Birmingham-based drivers have been transferred over here as well

Birmingham based drivers? Do you mean LAC or TE drivers?

Yes

I sort of meant which one of the two :P Presumably TE drivers, to answer my own question!!

Diversion on 142 until further notice

Kidderminster update (05/06/14)

Bad news!!!

An Optare Solo has reappeared in Kidder

L5 PPN

One is not amused! I thought we'd gone rid of all those tin cans for good but it seems apparantly not

It might just be on loan whilst all the work load increase/recent transfers settle down

I prefer Solo's to darts.  So we have a very different opinion on what is a "pile".

It is disappointing that you feel the need to refer to anything we operate as a pile.  I certainly dont consider we opreate anything that warrants that label, otherwise I would remove it from service.

Simon

It's not that I don't like them it's just I find that they're not big enough and I can remember when 20847 (YG02 DJZ) was operating in Kiddy it did the route 10 one afternoon anyway it was chocca so much so people were standing so yes this is why I prefer Darts to those however maybe I was a little harsh but if you do intend to reinstate Solo's at Kidderminster let us have (YJ06 YPU and YJ06 YPV) back as they were KD vehicles in anycase I admit it they were okay tbh because they were long and have got more seats in them so like I say if you are planning on reinstating Solo's in KR let it be (30638 & 30639)

Will,

L5PPN is a large Solo seating 30, i.e. more than a MPD

Yes I thought it looked bigger than the standard sized Solo's

StourportSam

V652 HEC is currently receiving attention from a recovery vehicle on the Stourport Road in Kidderminster (in other words its broken!)

KU52 YJY, V657 HEC and Y263 KNB all turned up together 3 in a row in Areley Kings just now - traffic lights are making bus journeys hell this week.

Update - 12/06/14;

Happened to walk past the garage today and noticed parked up in the workshop on the ramp was (20252, Y252 KNB) thus suggesting this is another transfer from TE / LAC for Kidderminster maybe we will end up getting some Royale Centros as well I'm very hopeful!

Meanwhile;

20827 - Optare Solo - L5 PPN has to my knowlege returned to LAC as I have not seen it in Kiddy since Monday morning

I doubt a previously loss-making operation will be gaining the highest value assets for services that darts are fine on.
