Kidderminster Update -- Correction

30445 T418 MNH is still at Kidderminster - on the 5 today, must have been inside one of the bays when I couldn't see it Monday.

20608 KU52 YJY has been out of use this week parked around the back of the depot next to T71 JBA. No VOR notice or obvious defects though.

Yes Sam I had noticed that too I don't know the reason why maybe it is being transferred back to Redditch it is possibly I guess but anyway in regards to T71 JBA I happened to notice today that V383 SVV has got T71's Ticket Machine in it because I noticed on the back of it it's still got the green sticker on and has got 20503 T71 JBA written on the sticker so it obviously isn't going to be put back into service otherwise the ticket machine would of probably remained in it however going back to KU52 YJY I reckon it's going back to Redditch however I am not going to assume

Were not noted in service today whatsoever by myself & I have very bad feelings about S405 JUA and Y36 YVV I wonder if there possibly being "semi-retired" I really hope not

Hasn't 30428 been retained as a spare at KR after being repaired, so it may not see service all the time

Maybe plans for it have now changed as Diamond are starting new service 1 soon.

I do hope so I don't like seeing it off the road I was on it on Saturday afternoon and it was running sweet as a nut from Bewdley back to Kidder I did make a suggestion to Simon a fortnight (or so) ago where I said to him they *could* potentially respray and then withdraw  T418 MNH from the main line up and move it to the spare vehicle line up and keep S405 in continual use and to my surprise he actually replied and said

"I don't make decisions about vehicle movements I get told when vehicles are moved off the fleet and if they have been VOR'd however I will pass your details onto Bob [Baker] as he is in charge of vehicle management"

But if they did do what I suggested at least they'd have T418 to fall back on should they ever needed it on the other side of it I wonder if T71 JBA will ever see service again

Just because 20136 Y36YVV is currently VOR'd, is doesn't necessarily mean it is withdrawn. It could just be waiting for some work to do done/part to arrive, prior to returning to service. KR will have a higher Pvr from 2nd June, i.e. new route 1, increased frequency on 3's & it looks as though the 142 & 202 are transferring across from Tividale from the same date.

I'd be surprised if T71JBA re-entered service as Rotala are currently in the process of phasing out the Red Diamond brand

Thanks for the update Sam!

Still don't know why - Y36 YVV is off road for as for Y2 JPT that will have probably come down here in preparation for the new routes being launched in the next couple of weeks

Kidderminster update (28/05/14),

Stood at the bus stop this morning and saw Y3 JPT (not Y2 as originally thought) driving down Exchange Street I can only assume it was being driven by a mechanic & I also noted 2 other fellas on it, it was displaying "Diamond Buses" on the hanover display front & side and it has also been completely de-branded and looks quite odd without any decals/stickers on it whether or not it will enter service remains to be seen
