Two more for BC are 4150 & 4623, and the last eclipse 1786

The refurbed 46xx are dead smooth, best bus in the fleet IMHO.

The one's with the new engines? Or the the refurb's that retain the original engines?

New engine , and gearbox by the feel of these things. It reminds me of how they were supposed to be when new, but the 'choppyness' of gear changes and overactive engine left something to be desired.

Which buses have been refurbed in such a way?

Blimey, I think 4619? The AdBlu ones, really good. Fast pull away as well. They really have worked wonders with those vehicles.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

These 3 were done at Wolverhampton a few years ago so they may differ enginewise to the recent 46**'s
4166
4179
4186

Other 41** are
4148
4172
4176
4177
4178

Then those that I know off are
4586
4619
4633
4634

Just look for any Trident with the extra filler cap behind the front wheel, those ones have had replacement engines

John,

I've also got 4185 which is done:
http://wmbusphotos.com/NXWM/4001-4224/4185.html

Then 4613 & 4621, which may have come from Tony or misreports?

The initial order was for 30 to be done (excl 4166, 4186 & 4586), but it seems the re-engine programme has been halted early

Sorry typo, should have said 4613.

I'm sure Tony? reported that one was going for refurb that was already in NX livery, 4621 would fit that criteria?

Looking at your photo of 4621 it was an early NX repaint, no doubt without any internal treatment

Forget 4613, it wasn't done at 27.5.13

1629 is another, back at Pensnett repainted & retrimmed and being fitted with LED destinations

Any chance that 1645 can have a repaint please, pretty please???
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

It needs it, itself and 1646 look very strange with TWM livery combined with LEDs, although the upside is you can spot them from a distance

4433 is back at BC looking very smart in NXWM livery, looks better then 4358 actually. Don't know if its been reported or what yet.

Mercs dont need repainting they need scrapping and replacing to be honest

The none refurb'd 15--/early 16-- series need to be withdrawn, but its not realistic to expect 140 Mercs to be withdrawn & scrapped in one hit, the T/V-reg second series Mercs are only 14 years old, so may a few more years in them yet
