Loads of AG double-decks also had window etchings, and none of them went near the Soho Road.  ;)

The 11A/C crosses the Soho Road

And very few of Acocks Green's current fleet have window etching

Liverpool Street

Every BC Trident has excessive window etchings. You should see the VCR's lol!!

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Don't worry if i have misread this but what do you mean my daily mail readers syndrome?

A cheeky way meant in banter of describing what sounds like a very middle class suburban view point. :) .

Thanks :) I find it hard to understand banter.

Coventry buses are more safety than West Midlands buses! Coventry Buses has improve with reduce the smoking/Drug in upper Decker and Loud music. Few Coventry buses still have etching window/Vandalism. So I don't catch any buses in Birmingham because there are too dangerous chav people expect I can catch on AG route only.

Hmmm, Coventry, middle England, a bastion of safety and respectability. There's not an area of the West Midlands where anti social behaviour and vandalism aren't a problem, although some garages are far better at keeping buses tidy than others. But I don't believe for one minute that the likes of Bell Green and Wood End are chav free and anti social behaviour free.

The Real 4778

In case of Bell Green or Wood End, always consult a doctor.
Don't you start.

Window etching is one thing I found to be fairly widespread in the West Midlands compared to Dublin. Over here there are all kinds of problems on the buses (in general they affect a number of select routes but not always), junkies, smokers (both tobacco & stronger substances) and just plain scumbags. In terms of vandalism we get windows put in by rocks, interiors defaced by permanent markers but strangely window etching is rare even on "notorious" routes. Even when etching is found its usually confined to the few rear windows upstairs. Obviously the trend hasn't caught on here yet :o

a 41xx getting a second refurb is 4179. It was done complete with new engine 18 months ago, but the paintwork was wrecked by an ipod advert and it was vinyled over. It has gone to Walsall for a fresh repaint and getting seats retrimmed again at the same time.

Now finished
