Yes, 4799 the little bugger that had me running around like a headless chicken today and still not managing a ride   >:(

Back on topic of refurbs/repaints I was wondering is there a reason why now all omnilink repaints seem to be having the fleetnames stuck above the door, the ex coventry ones are like that and 1800. Surely BY aren't intending to brand 1800 on it's own for a route?

1788 is in for refurb as well or may already be back out now? The re-positioning of the fleetnames may just give greater flexibility for applying branding or even adverts?

I did mean to say apart from 4799

I think 4150 is next for refurbishment seen it heading through Perry Barr on its way to Walsall
60 Birmingham - Cranes Park

Might be thinking of 4311? That's basically a 41! (Some early 53's are really bad. Not as bad as 4159)

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

I cant remember who told me, it might have been trident4370 who said he had been on YW's only 41xx trident?

Maybe it was WN's only 41** trident? 4135

YW doesn't have any 'odd one out' buses as far as I know

Can't be matt. Was working the 59 yesterday

Bit of positive news! The refurbed 46xx are dead smooth, best bus in the fleet IMHO.

The one's with the new engines? Or the the refurb's that retain the original engines?

New engine , and gearbox by the feel of these things. It reminds me of how they were supposed to be when new, but the 'choppyness' of gear changes and overactive engine left something to be desired.
