I wasn't seeing things this week; 4502 resplendent on Sutton services along the main road yesterday and today.

4496 and 4515 still flying the low-floor flag at least.
Don't you start.

The repaint of 1786 means we are down to 300 vehicles not in NX livery.

Made up of 1480, 39 Mercs, 51 Scania single deck, 2153, 6 Darts, 4044, 127 Trident / ALX400, 41 B7TL / ALX400, 7 Geminis, 6 Scania deckers and 20 Enviro400.

Correct me if Im wrong, but theres actually been some withdrawals of vehicles already in NX livery?

Wouldnt they been able to work out what was being kept long term & just repaint those vehicles?

They knew Metrobuses were not being kept, so those were not repainted, but who actually decides which particular vehicles to repaint?

bususer12

The B10B's were a waste of time, surely with being step entrance, they knew they didnt have long left, and still painted them over mercs.

Ashley 4569

I preferred the B10B's in TWM livery personally even if they could have spent that money painting mercs a bit earlier

There have been, I know a number of the old Volvo B10 midi-buses were re-painted, only to end up 18 months later in Miller Street.

The reasoning was I suspect partially down to presentation, partially down to the "Network Reviews" and a desire to have vehicles in new livery operating once the reviews had taken effect.  WMPTE however were experts at painting vehicles that were life-expired, in some cases painting vehicles in blue and cream in error which were due to go to a one way trip to Barnsley!!!

Talking of vehicles painting in error, NX Dundee have repainted/re-trimmed B10L 7138 in error which was actually due to be withdrawn
