While investigating the 53, I found the Alma Street depot on streetview with vehicles inside, and then when I next looked at the screen the sign on the gate had changed to "Thandi have moved"!

If you look at Google Earth it still shows Thandi Red coaches in Alma Street, yet the Midland Metropolitan Hospital just down the road on the opposite side hasn't even been started. Carillion went bust in Jan 2018 and the hospital was fairly well on by then.

Considering that they didn't even have the 53 destination display for the first week of operation, I'll gladly take it.

Yes, it's showing again now. Wasn't aware the electronic ones did that to reflect it not running on a Sunday.

Just seen this bus again today, making its pointless journey around Lanchester Way, Smith's Wood.

The blind still says "Smithwood" on it. I assume it is a Thandi (Red) bus, as it was in an all white livery with no sign of any logos on the side.
