Double decker scania on the 28A today. Saw it at Ward End at about 15:40. The single decker must be off the road again.
Local Routes
94/95, 11A/11C, 28.

I saw one of the 53s heading off down Jennens Road this afternoon, still displaying "City Centre" as its destination.

Any idea why evergreen coaches were at the public enquiry today?
A few reasons. Mainly driving hours infringements as well as financial standing issues. It seems that they have had their licence revoked as of 1st Jan 2021 and the TM has lost their repute.

Wonder who will take on their 28A and 53 routes then?
Wonder if 28A could be incorporated into the PB 28 then, with hourly extension from Heartlands to Small Heath, as the evening journeys on PB 28 run to Small Heath already.

If NX take on the 53 I will ride the full route from Smith's Wood to the City Centre. Used to love taking the 99 all around the back roads to the city.

Claribels could take them. Both services aren't far from the depot so less dead runs.Probably wouldn't though considering the current climate.

Surely considering the current climate any operator would want to win any tendered work they can, assuming both services are tendered, as long they could resource it properly.

Both of them are tendered. Claribelsbshould have some spares after they dropped the 55. Both services only need  3 buses between the two of them.

55 was in recent years, peak only and went onto/came off other services as far as I know.
Wheras 28A and 53 are all day routes I think peak and 9AM - 3PM.

28A runs from 7AM-5PM
53 is similar I believe.

"Wonder", not "wander"  :D

As these are contracted services, TfWM will presumably have to retender them, so it will depend on which operator(s) decide to bid on them.

My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Its criminal to know that the perfectly kept Evergreen licence 0000154 has ended up like this, makes me so sad.

I reckon claribels will take the 53 could potentially extend to chelmsley from smiths wood? and NX i reckon will take 28A as a hourly extension

There's no point extending the 53 to Chelmsley Wood when all of NX's services to Chelmsley Wood are more frequent and serve the same areas as the 53. If NX was to take the 28A, they could extend the whole 28 to Small Heath with short journeys at Heartlands Hospital and also reducing the Heartlands Hospital to Small Heath from every half hour to hourly in the eveningsz

The evening runs are a separate contract so they would have to stay at 30 mins
