Have any Central examples hit the streets in service yet?  :)

No None of BC's Enviros have entered service yet :)

I reckon that adds to the case to transfer the 99 to PE then as it does seem silly both garages just operating such small numbers of one type, plus I can't see BC ever needing more Enviro 200's whereas PE still have other routes that could use them

But as per Richie's note that's probably not feasible at present with vehicles already having to be parked on the road at PE due to overcrowding.

Are there any other yards adjacent to Pensnett's yard which they could buy to gain more storage space?

Exactly. Considering BC is a 'super garage', having 9 E200's which are only really applicable to one route (when on anything else they get a standing load in 2minutes) is a bit pointless.

I would gladly get rid of the 99 to Pensnett, and that'll leave some manoeuvrability regarding the 98/x64 renumbering and possible rerouting.

Maybe BC could get the 9/141 back? ;D ;D ;D

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

They'll need to open a new garage sooner or later.

It could be located somewhere in Birmingham and take routes 9/141, 126 and some BC decker routes among others so that it could possibly house only Enviro400.

Tony

Up to 4908 (except 4900) now at BC, photos on main site tomorrow

The oldest rumour in the book is BC will take the empty space around the depot. I've heard that for absolute years.

What's just come to mind is an idea that's been suggested dozens of times before: Reopening LH or MS for service again. I have very little idea where they are, so I don't know wether it will help or not.

Interesting Rat. Are you able to say anything about if there's any truth to it?

Hasn't LH been taken off the market for sale? MS serves more purpose as it is now.

No truth in that rumour at all. None.

Lets that hope 4900 isn't delayed due to having an accident of its delivery run as per 2013

If Lea Hall has been taken off the market, that could suggest that there are plans for it. Other than reopening it, I don't know what else they'd want it for.

Continue to house the reserve fleet in dry storage as at present?

Rightly or wrongly, I was always under the impression that BC garage might one day have to move due to long term plans to re-develop the East side of Digbeth?

Yup. Maybe get Tony to confirm if it has been taken off the market. It's only what I've been told.

Anybody got a list of what's in the Reserve fleet?

Nope. Well, unless it's Dean Finch's secret plans. But the long and short of it is; no.
