Looking Forward to seeing them it will be strange seeing an Enviro 400 around Sheldon as I've never seen one round here before, I know 4805 has been to Sheldon before when it appeared on the 60 when 4800-4829 were at BC but I never seen that working so as I said at the begining it will be strange seeing one round Sheldon :D

I would imagine the new E400 may do the 60 aswell :)

It'll be better on the 59. But having said that the 59 & 60 are on the same running boards, interworking sometimes, with the 58 being individual.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

If one does appear on the 59 I can get that to the Yew Tree then get the 73 from the Yew Tree to Sheldon :)

I think 46 hundreds suit the 90 better.

I would like to see the 99 with them.

Just for a bit of 9/99 nostalga, prior to the 141 coming about, and after 9/19/138/139. When B7's had roller blinds!!

I would think the E400's would work most BC routes at some point mainly 59/60/61/63/90/97.

45/47?

I think they'll sneak onto the 24 also.

Not forgetting the x64 (NB: No capital x) on a peak working will most certainly get an E400.

I completley forgot about them. Yes i would imagine most routes at BC that see tridents will see at least a E400 at one point.

Maybe even sneak onto a 22/23 for sure as a rare working.

That'll be nice.

You mention 97, but I dont think it will unless as a very rare working with the school drivers.

Remember you could also see them on the 966 and 9.  ;) There is bound to be some around the depot so it's a fair chance.

Careful what you wish for! I have them on my local route (33) and have to say they are the most boring buses ever! Compared to the BU07's they are crap!

What i'd give to have the Gemini's back on the 33 and toothpastes on the 934

Trident 4609

I do like the 'Newer' E400 but nothing can beat the Trident Enviros Espesially 4800-15 ,4799 and 4817-29. 4806 in mine and have been told by matt many times, opinion,  is the best and fast E400 at NX.

Excuse my ignorance on this but what exactly is the difference between the earlier and the latest E400s? I understand the newer ones are Euro 5 but what difference does this mean in practice? Not been on one of 4830 onwards.

Worsened! The Euro 5 engine is slow and boring in comparison.

All new engines are generally setup for optimum fuel consumpsion and not performance, as that is what bus operators are constantly looking for manufacturers to continually improve, additionally reducing unladen weights of new vehicles through using lighter weight materials / composite sections etc. Fuel is one of the biggest costs to bus operators.....
