Will this interwork and go onto a 51 or has the 935A stopped interworking with the 51?

Does it interwork with anything else now. Does the 935A and evening 934 (Shortened evening working) ?

Personally, I would want these buses to run on the 24, being a new cleaner bus, and with the occasional one on the Hybrid Bus, it would perfectly suit it, especially with new modernised hybrid buses on the 22/23 and whatnot. It has seemed that buses running from stop SH1 (Colmore Row) has modernised more than the 24.

I think it would be massively unfair to give the 24 these new buses, seeing as the Harborne services already have the hybrids and B7RLE's while the East of Birmingham, and routes like the 45/47 and 61/63 have decrepid old Tridents.

Spare hybrids and refurbed buses is enough for the 24

Doubt they would last on the 24. I had an Enviro 400 hybrid months ago, half a dozen kids get on at Four Dwellings, get to Colmore Row and they get off, and I load up to go back to Woodgate Valley North. One passenger who gets on tells me she  can smell burning, so I go upstairs to investigate and find that these kids had set fire to newspapers on the shelf at the rear of the upper deck. I had a cold at the time so wouldn't of been able to smell anything.

I didn't think the 24 was generally too bad. Presumably no serious damage?

Just marks to the shelf, luckily it didn't burn through.

The 704 bus takes thousands of children to schools in Walsall each year but now its number's up after an innovative idea from students.

Pupils at Barr Beacon School have voted to change the number on their school bus to reflect the text speak many use to refer to their school.

The School Council made up of 50 pupils voted to change the number 704 bus to the number 881, which mimics the initials 'BB' which many use as slang to refer to the school. The change takes place today.

The new National Express West Midlands 881 and 788 services take pupils from Park Hall, Yew Tree, Sutton Road and Walsall town centre to the school and back everyday.

The pupil's decision may need transl8ing for the older generation but will give the youngsters a real sense of pride in the buses that take them to school.

Sunil Mistry, one of the School council representatives said "We really like having the new bus number, and the fact it is unique to our School and relevant to young people."

Jack Kelly, spokesman for National Express West Midlands said: "This is a great thing for the school council to have asked to do and we are really glad we have been able to help. We are also very proud that the youngsters feel such ownership of these services."

Ian Chamberlain, Assistant Headteacher of Barr Beacon School said: "The pupil voice at Barr Beacon plays a big role in our decision making on School issues. We really appreciate National Express West Midlands working with us to give our pupils a say in the services they want and allowing them to suggest a personalised number"

Well, I'm against this. But thankfully I'm not a yamyam so it's all good. Whats everyones thoughts? Or, if this has been discussed somewhere else, please point me to the topic. I have searched but couldn't find anything. I've put it in this topic as it doesn't deserve it's own, and it does have a Walsall enviro in the picture. :)

Well yes, thats what I thought. Or actually BB? Why cant route numbers have just letters lol.

BC Enviros should be in service by the end of next week. All been well. Some has the wayfarer, printer and scanner installed. They have that smell what was mentioned earlier.
