Hopefully a few Tridents might gain some branding then as it was visibly noticeable how the X96 branding increased patronage, probably due to the confusion Merry Hill bus station causes, plus Wollaston Farm and Wrens Nest don't mean much to most people as a terminus

I always thought the destinations "Dudley...then to Wrens Nest" and "Stourbridge...then to Wollaston Farm" should be used for the X96, more useful for those not familiar with route

I think it shouldn't serve the wrens nest or Wollaston farm.

I agree with the wrens nest part, never used the Wollaston farm section to give an opinion

I've never done the Wrens Nest part but I'm familiar with the Stour-Wollaston Farm section and its patronage is very low

The wrens nest is busy but not as a link they deserve their own shuttle service

yeah the 206 or 207, most people who use the X96 get off at Dudley

Totally agree, bring back a Wrens Nest and Priory shuttle to serve a few more roads as there is still bus stops round the Wrenner that aren't served

there's 1 in someone's back garden too

I don't see why they got rid of the 206/207
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
"Around the corner" routes: 21, 89
Local routes: 12/A, 48/A
Semi-local routes: 54, 80, 87

Most used routes in bold

Ashley

I've used the X96 in its full length and i'd say all sections of the route are well used. Wollaston goes quiet in the day but school times and peak times, Mercs aren't enough

Just heard an Enviro go past on the 241

4201 on 141 this morning

winston

1631 is now de-branded from X96 branding and was on the 205 earlier

4194 needs a good wash! The rear is so filthy people have started writing messages with their finger on it! Not a very professional image, more like what you see on scrap mans transits

Stuharris 6360

strange, but the other day i saw a Trident going round with a large dirty mark down the back, is there a problem with there bus wash?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

That could by 4194 Stu.

Plus 4201 is on the 141, no idea if this is unusual so I have posted here, I do see a few Tridents on the 141  :)

I already posted that on the previous page John, not unusual any more with the extra Tridents from YW, but still of interest to some :)

I've seen 4194 like it, and then the next day I saw a PE B7RLE going up the Hagley Road with the 'stripe' of dirt in exactly the same place.
I'm on Flickr and Youtube

Liverpool Street

Its because they drive out the wash too fast and the washer doesn't get to do the rear fully as by the time the cycle has finished the bus will of been driven out already - usually with a bent in n/s mirror!

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Interesting, Tony told us at the Depot Visit that it was the depot staff that put buses through the wash, i wonder if it is a time issue here, being as some buses don't get back into garage at PE till well after 1am and the first buses leave a little after 3am?
