Looks like YW have tried very hard to send their tattiest Tridents out to PE! Which has meant the Enviro refurb programme has had to stop, but then I personally don't think that's a bad thing because could never see the huge advantage refurbing the 09 Enviro's when many other buses across the whole NXWM fleet needed the slots in the paint shop much more

I hope Pensnett dispatch 4351 for refurb rather sharpish and get rid of that wrap livery  ;)

I gather you've been and had a look at the garage today Winston?

Nope, from Tony's Oct NXWM fleetchanges:

4348, 4349, 4351, 4353 in to PE
1540, 1541 & 1621 withdrawn

It's worse in the flesh

Book it in for a bit of TLC at WA painshop  ;)

went to PE about 945 this morning, surprisingly there were no Enviros, Tridents or B7Rles there at all outside although i could see an Enviro & Trident inside.

The 2 E200s were still parked in the Dead box although there were 2 Alexander Dennis vans parked up so maybe they are delivering parts.

In the place where 1640/1 were parked last week is 1704 although can't see that being withdrawn. Saying that it appeared to be missing part of a panel under the drivers cab window.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

4351 arrived at Merry Hill at about 1035 this morning on service 141 and left immediately "Out of Service".  It looks really awful - even worse than 4348 and 4353 which are desperately in need of a refurb.  As Matt said earlier, Yardley Wood have gone out of their way to find the tattiest Tridents to send.  4199 must surely have dropped down the waiting list for a refurb.

I'm sure it's not a case of YW going out of their way to find tatty tridents. Although the reasoning behind it would maybe make sense. It means they may be first in line for refurb and fulfils part of quality partnerships and the like in upcoming reviews, upgrades and investment in areas where these buses may be used.

It is more a case of every garage being able to spare 1 or two buses for refurb, it makes more sense for every garage to have a few in desperate need so that the complete flet get completed faster. YW are gaining 14 Enviros that need to go through so it would have been a bit unbalanced to take a fleet of referbished tridents off them. There are currently not 15 tridents down to leave YW so hopefully they will keep a couple of extra spares to get their fleet done faster anyway.

Tony,

Is that 14 Enviros a typo? I thought YW were getting the 15 x 07/57 examples with 4698 staying at PB?

4730 has already been done, so they are gaining 14 unrefurbed ones and 4730 ;)
