Ive got a video of 502 on my phone overevving like mad, 581 was doing just that today also which shocked me as 581 has always been a snail for me and the chavs at the back meant i couldnt record it

Not had 581 in quite a while, had the same opinion as you before so perhaps it's changed, will have to hunt it down

well i don't catch it as much now but it was on the 14:00 244 on a sunday for about 3 weeks at one point

1705 has broken down in stourbridge bus station second time this month, from what im hearing its gearbox issues

Stuharris 6360

Popped to the garage today, none of the remaining excels have left the car park yet.

1645 was back in place awaiting attention once more, along with 510 and 1643 which was leaning heavily to the one side.

544 was inside the garage on one of the ramps receiving attention, having a break from the 243/4.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Withdraw it, there are spare Mercs around now to replace it.

Personally i prefer the earlier Mercs anyway.

Nicking a gearbox from one of those spare Mercs is also a possibility.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.
