Just a speculative question...

How many additional Enviro400s would be needed at Pensnett to make the 120 and/or the 140/241 double-deck operated? If this were to happen (after all I'm only speculating wildly), then Mercs could be withdrawn and the new Eclipse 2s could go onto Merc routes. As a result, this would decrease the age of vehicles using Merry Hill, and thus helping towards NXWM's commitment for new(er) buses on Merry Hill services?

Don't shoot me down in flames for this, just a different thought to 'Presidents or Tridents to PE'...  ::)

My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Stu,

I'd hazzard a guess the number required for the 120, 140 & 241 would be approx 21, the same quantity as the original B7RLE's that were delivered for these routes i.e. 2078-2098

Nothing out of the ordinary at the seen in Pensnett except a load of E400s which one may expect to see with a Sunday service apparently.

All opinions and onions mentioned on here are mine and not those of any employer, current, past, present or future, or presented as fact, unless I prove it otherwise.

You will have to wait until a few more Enviro 400s enter service at BC before any cascade takes place

That suggests that Tridents are moving from BC to PE.

I hope so! Just hope it wouldn't mean losing any of our E400s

What else would it be? Can you really see any B7TLs of any type coming to Pensnett?

Trident 4609

Matt, Don't worry 4800-15 and 4817-29 are staying put at PE more than likley.

Tbh i like guessing and speculating what happens as it adds to the anticipation of what will happen.

John

It does not suggest that the buses going to Pensnett are coming straight from Birmingham Central.

Tridents may leave Birmingham Central for another garage, then buses at that garage may go on to Pensnett.

Its like Tony said, the cascade can't take place until more Enviros are delivered, to me this suggest that several depots may be involved.

I am just hoping that the B7RLEs are kept at PE to get rid of some of the Mercs and not sent to WN to see there Mercs off.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Might aswell throw my two penneth in, I reckon It'll more than likely be more Tridents to YW to send President(s) to AG/PE/WB. Personally I think 4110 will end up at AG somehow and YW Will lose all W reg presidents at the very least, then maybe more to WB to replace mercs and PE purely because of the "changes" that are rumoured, or maybe the middle man might be cut out and PE will get Tridents. :P A third theory of mine is that the toothpaste Enviros at PB could still be destined for PE following later New Enviro arrivals, and to standardise the Enviro types PB have so they are all E40D rather than Trident (baring in mind Walsall have just had a few) :) 99.9% likely to be wrong but... The Joys of Speculation!
