At 2pm there were 8 enviro 400's parked up in the depot, so there may well be single deckers out on the 9 or 141?

2154 was also parked up in between the above so may now be available for service?

Excel 684 is now in reserve at Pensnett

Incidentally just seen 582 on the 246

Interesting that 8 Enviros were on the depot and yet we have had no reports of unusual vehicles on the 9, wonder if they were just using Enviros on the 9 and not anything else today. Was certainly unusual to have a B6 on the 246.

I believe the 9 was all Enviro today, but I think the 141 was all B7RLE! Unless anyone knows better

2154 out today on the 120.

That didn't take long, I drove it last week and it pulls away slower than the others, was this anything to do with it?

Ashley 4569

Probably an overtaking move that went wrong done by an impatient car driver

Back to reality.....

Just popped down Pensnett garage, Excels 685, 689, 690, 691, 695, 696, 697 & 706 have all been removed from the storage yard, assumed gone for scrap. 713 & 717 are the only two LWB new to TWM that are left on site. The short ex Travel London excels still all appear to be there.

Popped down Pensnett again, 713 & 717 now appear to have gone (for scrap?) SWB Excel 7202 had been pulled out of the line-up so may be the first of those to be removed?

So with the 289 being curtailed to West Brom to Old Hill in June, will the route go back to WB again or remain at PE I wonder.

I'd imagine it will stay with Pensnett as doesn't it still interwork with the 53?

I notice the 222 is also been reduced in frequency during the daytime to every 15 mins from every 12 mins

Is the 289 change connected with the 4M change?

Yes it does

I was talking to a PE driver on the 243 earlier and he said he'd got through two defective mercs in one shift

Was just thinking, although the 289, the 9th June change effectively ends the very long history the 238 had going to Merry Hill. When did this specific service start?

Meanwhile, has anyone noticed how the 297 route is effectively doing a tour of the Dudley Borough. It originally or as far back as I can remember ran Stourbridge to Dudley (possibly Gornal, cant remember), then wasnt it just Gornal to Dudley for a time and then Gornal to Halesowen. If it ever does Halesowen to Stourbridge it will have done a full clockwise your of the borough. haha.  ;D

The 222 change will mean a change/edit to the branding already then. But will this free up an Enviro perhaps for other routes? Though might not look too good unless they debranded one if that was the case.
