Franchising was going ahead under Andy Street anyway.

Forgive me for asking, as I've lost track a little, but are there any other EVs yet to arrive at Yardley Wood, or is this order of 170 now completed?
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to QE Hospital | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

There's two that haven't carried passengers yet. E234 & E289 which are still waiting for the branding to arrive, they'll go to Coventry, releasing two 'West Midlands' branded buses to Yardley Wood.

E234 has been used, but only for driver route training for the new X20, so is the only one to have visited Bromsgrove.

Only one of this batch, I seem to recall one of the original EVs ventured out on the old 144A before!

E017 appeared in service in Bromsgrove on 13 March 2023.

Sorry if this is a silly question or anything like that, but is Wolverhampton due any electric, hydrogen etc buses anytime soon?

It is likely that they will, yes.

Does anyone know why E234 has Coventry vinyls when it was said it was going to YW, have plans changed?

Quite simple,  Coventry's requirements rose from 140 to 147, 7 extra sets of blue vinyls were ordered.  It makes far more sense to use any plain grey buses first before removing red vinyl

Hopefully Z4001,6 and 7 don't get price branding and just get Coventry logo and blue strips 🤞
