I think you read wrong - there are 130 vehicles still outstanding.

And they're not Yutongs either.

My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

More top quality "reporting" from Birmingham Live. New electric buses "to take to the streets" when around 160 of them are already out there.

As with all online news sites, a lot of the time the reports are old. They may have a little update on them, so it looks like a new story because of the publication date. Easier to ignore them.

This is an opportunity to understand how local journalists work now. The article is basically the following press release from NX Bus, which has been slightly 'enhanced' by a journalist who doesn't do much research:

When I click on the link it shows a picture with E263 and E244, presumably at YW. The article seems to be quite up to date. No Troy Tempest, Joe 90 or Captain Scarlett photos. Are you clicking the right link or does a different internet apply in the deepest recesses of the Black Country 😀🫢

Try the link with Joe 90 standing outside Wolverhampton station  showing the diesel buses in photo at Perry Barr

I still don't get those photos - there's one of an electric coming past Selfridges. Maybe they've altered it? That Birmingham Live website is very difficult to read any article, such is the level of both commercial advertising and links to other articles interspersed with almost every sentence.

Anything published by any Reach Media site is usually one of 4 things
1) Press release adapted to be factually incorrect
2) Telling you you 'could be fined'
3) Exaggerated weather event (The 3 inches of snow Birmingham was having this week didn't seem to arrive)
4) so many adverts it's unreadable

I suspect this is the article actually being referred to!!
