QuoteYardley Wood is not going 'fully electric'.

According to comments made on the Facebook post in question, the Electroliners are for Black Country garages.
I thought the rumours were for Wolverhampton and Acocks Green?

Coventry needs to go fully electric and it's been confirmed that there are no electric single deckers on order. So presumably some of these will either be needed for Coventry or to release existing ADL BYD electrics for Coventry?

Birmingham Central is closing no point to install electric points there.
Walsall has potential as does Wolverhampton.
Not sure about West Bromwich.

Yes, it's probably worth keeping on eye on WMCA depot purchases, they already own Walsall and WB is not on their list.

Incidentally I reactivated my dormant facebook account to see the post. Heavens to Murgatroyd, the comments on some of the posts! However (or why) would anyone bother to engage with them.

De-activated again.

Source?

Unless they're giving up on the Hydros at Walsall, I'd be surprised if any electrics entered service there, unless it's possible to run 2 different power sources from the same depot?

I was told a while a go 74/82/87 to get new electric buses before the year is out and charging equipment to be fitted at the out station

The 50 is predominantly electric so the 82/87 being the same makes sense if the cross city route is still going ahead

They already run two different power sources. As do Coventry, Perry Barr and Yardley Wood.
