Total 2 -   (1 to be painted, 1 to be withdrawn)

4329 is now at Trailways for refurb. 1668 is not on the road either today although I am not sure if it has completely finished yet. The only sign of TWM livery today is front of 4432 on the 14 service.

4606 (The tree jumped out in front of me bus) has now moved to Carlyle (6 NX buses currently there!)

was there some kind of plan tony to rush through eradicating the twm livery by end of 2014? the new livery looks better, but wonder how single deckers would have it applied

Are those in the "other buses category" away for repairs?

Yes, as are those 'not at their home garage'

Anyone know what's happened to 5505? I hadn't realised this was out of service.

Buses regularly visit other places for minor repairs, sometimes just for a day Volvos go off the Hartshornes etc. 5505 is back at BC today, although not in service

Ah I see, thanks for clarifying Tony.

bumper Christmas for Carlyle, NX must be keeping them going single handily

I saw 4432 in Harborne just before lunch today - perhaps it was reallocated from the 14. Last Red White and Blue, just before Christmas!

Typo on my behalf - it was on the 24 all day - Tony

Basically RIP TWM liverys, for me toothpaste won hands down , dudley road gemnis probably the best looking buses at the time. I can recall 4700 parked at Oldbury bus interchange for several days for type training, I remember Mr and Mrs joe public saying that is smart very posh etc etc never heard negative remark. Real shame what's become of them. I do hope somebody will preserve one in the future and restore  the original livery.

Hear! Hear!  Toothpaste was a great evolution of Low-Floor livery, which was presumably designed by an engineer obsessed with straight lines and bold angles, and to my eyes always looked rubbish on deckers and unsympathetic to their size (not nearly as bad as the current non-livery of course).

When 4697/8 appeared I had seriously high hopes for the fleet.  Now it's a rag-bag of dirty white, an entire palette of reddy-pinks, and completely arbitrary connecting bars, or their stumps.

Don't you start.

Hmm... Thinking about it there might be less white on the current NXWM livery then the very first incarnations of the TWM low floor livery... Gawd there was some madness going on with those! Forget painting the front bumpers lads and just paint the lift clusters blue...

Although I've always been a fan of it on a Trident, especially the front. The livery was obviously designed with that body in mind, especially its 'pouting lip' below the lower front windscreen and bulbous front bumper. I actually do like the ALX400 body though, I know it wasn't welcomed by most but I liked them. And I think the 43xx's Jubilee Line Tridents new at BC (esp. 4355) were some of the best buses TWM had, quick comfy smart nice brakes easy to drive and nice to look at. (When new haha) And a welcome change from the N113's and Metrobuses at the time. The only thing us drivers had an issue with was the mirrors.. When they were new they had huge almost lorry like plastic glass mirrors which would cause a massive blind spot on your offside and an obstacle on your nearside. Although my all time favourite batch has to be Pershore Roads batch of 46's. So shiny and posh and had CCTV/advert screens with Sudoku and allsorts. Fond memories.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.
