@Rob - two great journeys (New Street to Temple Meads and back) on 1V44 and 1E67 today with both trains early arriving at every station despite 3 TSR's and signal checks at Stapleton Road (southbound) and in the tunnel just before New Street (northbound).

If anyone is interested the 5 new GBRF loco's (66752/3/4/5/6) arrived at newport docks on thursday (10th) the vessel having spent most of the day at anchor in the barry area. the original 'path' had been determined for 09.00am Saturday (12th July) away from Newport, but two further (updated) options are now on the system,- Dep Newport (Sat) @ 12.00 and an alternative path on Monday (14th Jul) is scheduled to dep Newport @10.45 am The route appears to be via Bromsgrove /Washwood heath/ water orton (15.51 Sat).) and/or (14.49pm Mon) and on via Tamworth/B.O.T/Toton to Doncaster (decoy/Roberts Rd) by late afternoon)

Passed through Kings Norton around 14:20 running about 68 early.

cheese.. I think it would have been 28 early, as the convoy actually left Newport at 11.20am and not 12.00 as booked. it was still 20min early at water orton.... Unfortunately I don't think they will get any more due to more stringent european emission directives, which may apply to the new Vossloh (68xxx) loco's as well :-\

They were 68 early between Longbridge and Kings Norton, must have got held at Saltley for 40 minutes
