Is that true?

I don't just make up facts on the spot.

Yes they can be taken inside a garage for works etc if the tanks are empty, but you couldn't really have indoor garages (like the reopening of Lea Hall as suggested) running fleets of hydrogen buses.

Hydrogen buses can be stored inside, as long as they haven't got any hydrogen in them. They have about a 15 mile range without fuel, so can be drained when they come in for work to be done.

The Longbridge site is going to be joint NXWM & NEAT, but the NXWM part will be smaller than BC.

Thanks for that, so there's some 'operational benefit' in relocating the NEAT Frankley depot in the same move.

With the addition of a new site in Kitts Green, I presume the capacity will be factored in, to perhaps accomodate also the 94 from Perry Barr, as well as the 17 from Acocks Green, to give both those garages the opportunity to 'grow' further in the future if needed.

I genuinely didn't know that, which is why I asked the question.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Or the 72?
As the 72 runs past the Mackadown and past the bottom of Granby Avenue as well, whereas it doesn't really go near AG.
Local Routes
94/95, 11A/11C, 28.

You could throw the 73 into that too it doesn't stop exactly that far from there either.

The Fox 4846

I imagine a Chelmsley/Kitts Green garage would operate the following:
BC - 14/55/97/X12/X70
PB - 71/94/96
AG - 17/72

And possibly AG 58/73, BC 60.
33 Asda Queslett via Perry Barr, Kingstanding, Pheasey
7 Sutton Coldfield via Witton, Perry Common, Boldmere

Theres been 2-3 diggers on lea ford road fields past few days could that be a sign of some development starting?

And X1/X2 could possibly run from from Kitts Green as well as 60.

The Longbridge one could possibly take the 49 from YW as well.

Longbridge could take the 18,27,35,49 & 76 from Yardley Wood and the possibly the 50 as well

Why?  It'll take a huge chunk of work from YW.  Plus, where's the space for all the vehicles?

If they did that they could move the Stratford Rd routes 2/3/6 to AG and shut YW I guess. Which was what was suggested above, they could close one of AG and YW to save money.
It probably depends on how big the new depots will be though.

27 and 49 would make sense to transfer them. 18 can do too but some of the journies I saw it terminates at YW garage? 76 also but I don't think the extension of the route will last that long. It will likely either tossed around to another route or created a new route. I would create a some sort a circular route and operate it from Longbridge so 48 and 76 can go back to the original route.

Electric vehicles need bigger parking spaces than diesel due to the charging kit, so extra capacity  needed not less

AG is quite bigger than YW from outside. And they have enough buses already
