Supposedly yes but you will probably find the 24 will still see B5's and the 490*'s. I guess they will start appearing on the 24 when all or the majority of them are in service.

Which leads me to my next question,  Are there any out on the 24 today

There are a couple of Tridents on there too. No sign of any B5's on the 24 today though

Brother said he took part in a Centro questionnaire on Edgewood Road in Rednal the other day, where they asked whether for people's views on 'turn-up-and-go' service along that road. I highly doubt the 63 would be messed with - does anyone know if there are any plans to change the 45 at all?

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Is the 98 turn-up-and-go though? Thought that was every 10 minutes or better along that section.  Saying that the 45 is every 12

Stu

I'm guessing the definition of 'turn-up-and-go' is a service (or combined service) frequency of 10 mins or less.

This assumption is based on the wording in the recent South Birmingham and Solihull changes, which stated a 'turn-up-and-go' service by combining the 1 and 31 between Acocks Green and Gospel Oak.

The 63 is 10minute
The 45 is 12minute
The 98 is 20minute

Still no clue what a turn up and go is though.

A frequent service (ie 10 minutes or more frequent) so you turn up to the bus stop and don't have to wait long

Although both services are every 20 minutes, they combine to provide the 'turn-up-and-go' service for passengers only using the 'shared' part of the route (ie between Springfield, Acocks Green, Gospel Oak and Solihull Lane). And yes, the theory is that you shouldn't have to wait more than ten minutes for a bus.
