Does the X64 interwork with anything else? I'm just curious as by my calculations it has a generous layover in Woodgate. For example the 10:22am service from Birmingham arrives at Woodgate at 11:08am. Then by logic it would not be leaving back for Birmingham till 11:31am and arriving back at Birmingham at 12:17pm. It just seems that 23 minutes is a bit excessive for a layover time.

I don't believe it interworks with anything. There seems to be an X64 parked up at the Wood Lane terminus most times of the day. They tend to layover in the 'outside lane' of the turning area to allow the 23s to pull up to the stop.

Thanks Mike for clarifying that - must be quite good to have that long a layover  :) Also that layover time enables late running to be compensated for.

Eeyup.

Although it is given 23 minutes, the incorrect running time between the final two timing points results in a loss of usually circa 5 minutes.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

That would make more sense - 23 minutes looked too good to be true really for a layover! Thanks LS

So I can work out which journeys 4622 had done :)
