Sorry to kind of Drag up this topic again;

Today I was in town an got my hands on the new 934/935/935A/936 timetable. and the 997 isn't on there. so out of speculation;

is the 934/935/935A/936 - Walsall
997/997E - Perry Barr ?

The 934-936 will be operated by Walsall. I'm unsure whether the 997 is moving

Looking at the timetable 934 & 936 will interwork in Birmingham.

Also noticed to compensate the loss of the 934

Service 66 is being increased to every 20 minutes and will terminate at Kingstanding, But Dont know were in Kingstanding.

66A is shortened and will no longer serve Birmingham

heard of a pe driver today, one of the possible reason for withdrawing the 289 to old hill is due to nx wanting rid of the tender when it goes up in two years, apparently withdrawing it to oldhill will make it look like its loosing even more money so they are able to chuck it back to centro.... any one heard anything else like this?

sorry think ive posted this in a differnt thread by mistake
Wouldnt mind a 10 min bus service....

You cannot 'chuck' anything back to Centro easily

Notice in the Walsall Travel Shop today.

Service 70 evening journeys no longer provided by National Express.

Who will be running those then?

Old Hill seems like a very odd and out of the blue place to curtail the route. I would've thoug Cradley Heath, High St would've been a better place to terminate it, better access to shops, incl. Tesco, better bus interchange options, and the train station a 5 minute walk away. That's what I think anyway. Although I completely disagree with the change  :-\

Just noticed in the E&S as theyre recruiting for drivers as well.

Wonder if its possible they could interwork that with the 8a?

Is the 66A now going to be Sutton Coldfield to Erdington? Then why not just call it the 111 again as it's basically the same route and will bear little or no resemblance to the 66?

I see the 297/A is losing pretty much all its Monday-Saturday evening Journeys. Would Diamond perhaps be interested in picking that up. But its most likely due to lack of passengers in the evening so no one else would want that!

Looking at the new 289 timetable, it is a very much dying route:
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
Local Routes: 21, 89, 48/A, 12/A, 54/A
Semi-local routes: 80, 87

Would that happen? That would mean only an hour frequency between Halesowen and Merry Hill in the evenings. Maybe the change are made to try and improve patronage on the 297/A

297A evening journeys came out on the same emergency tender as 70 (Walsall - Bloxwich) evening journeys. We won 70, not sure who won 297A.

Sorry, who's "we," only my ESP doesn't work on bank holidays (I sub it out to Diamond).
Don't you start.
