R830 MFR still hanging on in service on the HC2 today; despite its gearbox temperature reaching nearly 130°C this morning!

Also a green DD coach was put on the HC3 this afternoon.

Had one of the most beastly buses ever on the HC2 today, SUI 6584 a 1992 Optare Spectra. Such a fantastic ZF box, screaming when the driver put his foot to the floor. Really fast, and not a single rattle at 50mph either. Much better than the Olympians we had previously.

Yeah, I think I saw all of these in service before Christmas

I was very surprised to see R830 MFR turn up on the HC2 this morning, can't believe it's still here. I'm not complaining though, especially with a driver who knows how to pull a tune out of a proper ZF...

Unless its due to be returned to Ensign imminently or Evergreen are awaiting a few more B7TL's before they can release it, is R830MFR the only one left?

Yeah, it is the only one left, the others went in early December

No.... all others left in early December, but this one's stuck around for some reason. It was meant to go back over the weekend apparently.

In other news, one of the B7TLs has been given a private registration, it was IIG 9***.

Thanks for clearing that up for me:)

One of the B7s has been painted into Evergreen livery. It was IIG 9329 I think.

Is that the orange livery like on the Spectra's I see on the Bilstons?

Yes. No EvergreenCoaches on the side, but Thandi logos on the front/rear upper windows

Sad news, R830 MFR left Alma St today never to return, after being in service on the HC2 only this morning. Thus ends the rather short era of East Lancs Olympians at Evergreen.
