I was speaking to a Pensnett driver today (known as "pensnettdriver" on here) who confirmed 25 are leaving and 5 are staying. I think he said the 5 to stay are 4800-4.

Today I noticed PE Enviro 400 4816 was in Walsall paint shop.
Is it still planed to swap the PE E400s with the 25 from YW?

4816 was the one that had the incident on the 9, and Tony mentioned that it was having a refurb, before presumably heading to YW.

What about all the other Pensnett Enviro 400s that have been done?

Seemed strange getting on Abellio 2419 an Enviro 400 hybrid in Regent Street today and finding the fill grey dot seating pattern throughout!

All the E400 repainted at PE into the modified shade of red have been refurbed.

The ones i went on 4817,4806 and another Enviro 400 had a second refurb already in the grey moquette

No, Enviro 400's 4800/1, 4805-8, 4817, 4822, 4826 & 4827 have all been both repainted & retrimmed already

I believe with their latest new deliveries, Abellio have now specified an alternative moquette to the NX one previously used

No, Enviro 400's 4800/1, 4805-8, 4817, 4822, 4826 & 4827 have all been both repainted & retrimmed already

does anyone else think its completely bonkers to be refurbishing such "newish" buses when there are so many buses out there that are in such a state and buses like 4128 with the silver dot to dot on one side and not on the other? would of thought that the vast amount of alx400 would have been for refurb before any enviro 400's?

however I have always thought that the likes of the alx400's at Walsall (ie 4132) haven't had any attention as they would with draw them? anyone else think that?

I personally would much rather the y reg tridents go before the presidents or the spectras!!
