I am still expecting the unexpected and some scanias to move to PE.

More likely to be Wright Eclipse 2 B7RLEs going there, seeing as they already operate the type.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

I am expecting the expected and that I will have to read about every PE route the 44xx Tridents have been on for many weeks to come  ;)

Would love to know the reasoning behind why the 44xx Tridents are moving instead of the 41xx ones.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

What's your reasoning why Pensnett should get the oldest crap, fleetnumbers?

PE doesn't want all 41xx Tridents, it slightly improves the age profile of PE's Tridents. BC will need to loose all its Tridents within two years anyway.

The 41's aren't that crap, in comparison to say, 802.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

At least 802 gets out in service most days, compare to 803 & 807!

Partly because as Mike says, as a fleet of just 4 (presume 1 more to come) every single journey will be reported where as if we had 4186 -9, nobody would particularly bother about them.

I do wonder at the sense also of moving all the ex PE Enviros to PB, surely some should have been left to fill in on the 9 when an MMC is not available or is used on another route. With NE spending so much money on new buses for the 9, and advertising them, surely Tridents shouldn't be allowed on there as to me it devalues the service.

Depends on the allocation if tridents are to be used and time allows then use them on peak cards limiting the time on the service

@Winston Does the age profile of a garage matter that much anyway. Surely over the last couple of years, PEs has vastly improved on what it used to be.

Plus surely if BC have to loose there Tridents within 2 years, then PE would need to loose some as well as some Tridents work services into Birmingham.

You could argue WN need to loose some tridents as the 126 runs into Birmingham
