4527-4534? Are there any plans on those?  Coming back to AG maybe? I've got an idea as I think you saying elsewhere they are chosen for something a couple of weeks ago.

What is the reason for Perry Barr recieving the 70** OmniLinks from Acocks Green, and then transferring the 18**s out to Walsall. I mean instead of just transfering the 70**s to Walsall

@John

Thinking the exact same thing - sure PB would rather keep the refurbished Scanias rather than the unrefurbished 70XXs. Only explanation is a desire to keep the batches together - but really would just be easier to transfer the 70XXs to Walsall. Could mean you'll have 7027 back with the sharp brakes...

I wonder if Perry barrs 19**'s will go back to Walsall in that case?
Favourite buses currently:
871, 1828, 4421, 4764, 6101, 6108, 6116, 6118, 6121, 6848, 6849
Least favourite buses currently:
4203, 4213, 4398, 4419

Better you than us!

Sidenote: The MMCs due at AG are apparently as quick if not quicker than the Scanias! According to a few engineers anyway, so they seem like worthy replacements for the 7*** batch.

@MW

Do you know if they have the normal Voith gearbox or are they having the ZF gearbox fitted?

I have no idea, I didn't get to type train on one. I've just glanced at it when it was at the depot. Nothing in depth. I probably won't get to drive one in service for ages (after they arrive that is). I'm hardly on the 37, and don't go near the 70s/966.

I don't know why, but I do think the '57' plates are nicer to drive than the ex-Dundee examples. They just seem a lot smoother

It doesn't really bother me much anymore because I rarely drive an OmniLink now!

What route were you on today?

I have only had one of our little Enviro200s from one end of our garage to the other to move it closer to the pumps. I know I can't judge it much, but it seemed like a nice bus

I had the b7rle on the 29 this morning and the enviro on the 70 this evening. Was expecting it to be terrible reading the reviews but was quite impressed. Only thing was the warfarer was dead straight and over to the left so bit of an awkward angle

One of your E200s driver got pretty vexed with me today lol, was at the stop at Perry Barr on 11A, towards Erdington side. I had 7mins-ish drop back so I was parked with hazards on and jumped out for a stretch. I think it was a new driver in the E200 as the buddy driver had a right face on him blatantly staring at me as they squeezed past. Having said squeezed, a Plaxton got through the gap fine but the E200 Dart thing struggled lol.

@MW

Thanks - hopefully won't be long until they come down and I'll be able to find out.

7027 has moved AG - PB today, more moves expected tonight
