If I recall Peartree was only planned to be acquired if the decision was a Future Partnership rather than Franchising.

Known details of the new 130 Electrics are now on the main site.

The first one should arrive this month

Thanks Tony, curious as to why the numbering has started from E1xxx rather than continuing from E334.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to QE Hospital | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

I thought that at first, but then again in recent years there has been a set block of numbers for each bus type:

6101-6148 Enviro MMC400
3301-3305 Streetdeck
6701-7000, 7500-7551  Enviro MMC400 (Platinum, now standard spec)
2201-2250  Enviro MMC200
H1001-H1020 Hydroliners
E001-E333 BYD

Tony

There's two rules when allocating fleetnumbers.

Ignoring letters, the number part of the fleetnumber cannot duplicate, so you cannot have an H1001 & an E1001 or just a 1001.
So no 431 and E431

The fleetnumber including letters cannot be a direct clash with any other fleetnumber used since the mid 1980s including Travel London and Dundee

Ah good point, but as those 3 vehicles are now withdrawn, could they not just have 'skipped over' them?

Who registers these to give them Manchester / Merseyside registration identifiers?

I know most people aren't bothered by this but I was hoping they might get Birmingham plates like the Hydrogens and recent Electroliners for Oxford and Leicester. Bit of a shame that in most places buses no longer have plates local to where they are.

It seem DVLA regularly give Wrights Merseyside registrations when they apply for 'mainland' style ones.
Norther Ireland is the only part of the UK where you can ask for either style of plates, but I don't think anyone can get AAA 1111 style registrations if the first keeper is on the mainland now like you used to be able to.

Hopefully these buses have more seats than the hydroliners.

How does this work with this batch as the numbers are the same as vehicles from circa 1989 and the Enviro200s in the 22** series that had metrobuses from these numbers in service into the 90s and early 00s. And 801-12. Or does this only apply to vehicles with those numbers that are still owned by the company?

Arriva and Go Ahead single door examples have 69 seats (H42/27F) which would be an increase of 6 on the Hydroliners and 4 on the ADL BYD electrics if the same.
