Quote from: Mike K on November 04, 2024, 01:24:42 PMApologies if I've missed something somewhere but with these duplicates currently using electric vehicles (and also being used on football shuttles), does BC have facilities to charge these or is this being done elsewhere?
BC have one charger, hence limited use, so three buses can be rotated .

Tony

E237 has just left BC to do a round trip on the X21.

It's due in city at 16:20 and back out at 16:25.

It's looking like it might track properly this afternoon, but I won't know for definite until it gets to Bartley Green

MasterPlan

16:25 would be an X22 outbound not X21.

But it does look like it's tracking now.

Local Routes: 002, 39/39A, X21, 46, 76.
Localish Routes: 18, 23, X22.

E237 out on the first X21 dupe again this morning. E242 is coming out on the second. First time use for that one it hasn't even done the football yet

Does this mean development is actually stepping forward. I wonder if will be this century?

What's this got to do with Birmingham central garage?

cardew

I wonder how actively NX are looking for replacement premises with the possible sword of franchising hanging over them?

It will most likely be built on the site of the current BC garage which was sold for redevelopment some time ago.

Mr Mayor'll have to get GoAhead to find a new site once he sorts the franchising out. With the threat of franchising overhead there's no incentive for NX to bother looking for another site.

Under the franchise model being investigated, WMCA are looking to own the depots. It was reported that they bought Walsall garage earlier this year.

Both electrics going out of City this morning showing X21 University for QE Hospital instead of Bartley Green. Is it just that they didn't have the Uni destination programmed before?
Local Routes: 002, 39/39A, X21, 46, 76.
Localish Routes: 18, 23, X22.

The uni blinds will be there in the destination controller as its just a file from a computer. There are some uni boards that turn short at the uni in peak times to help the hospital workers

Fair enough I was just wondering whether the duplicates were supposed to go all the way to Bartley Green or just to Uni Station.
Local Routes: 002, 39/39A, X21, 46, 76.
