4310 was on the 35 again, surely it would have made more sense to send it to WA to release 4332 back to YW, ie keeping the fleetnumbers in sequence. Also 4122 still going strong on the 49.

There is no point keeping fleetnumbers together as they will be seperated again probably.

You might think that but judging by the pattern of transfers recently, management clearly dont!

Not the only one! 4311 and 4312 are still here
And presumably more early tridents will go to Wolves soon to replace the Spectras

It is possible they are going via Walsall for retrim/repaint so have left WN but not yet arrived at YW, so YW haven't put them onto the system as their buses yet

Yes it should be, although 1573 was on a daytime 276 yesterday
There may well be something unusual on the 222 today, as there are currently 2 x branded E200's parked up in Pensnett garage, one being 825
4806 is on the 140/241 today, should be on the 16:15 241 from Dudley therefore the 17:00 from Halesowen, then the 17:38 140 from Dudley if anyone wants a ride

Sorry got the timings wrong, it's actually on the 16:38 140 from Dudley and therefore the 17:45 241. Was basing it on the fact that it repeats every 3 hours on a Sunday but then realised it repeats every 2 hours Mon-Sat due to reduced layover.

2063 - 529
4332 - 302
After looking at the 140 and 241 timetables on the Network West Midlands website, 4806 being on both the 08:05 departure and 16:05 departure of the 241 from Halesowen doesn't make sense! Very confused...

Was heading out of Birmingham at 11am this morning and 4806 was at Bearwood on its way into City
So unless the running board does something unusual (isn't the 09:23 from Dudley & 10:05 from Halesowen covered by WB), i reckon 4806 should have been on its way into Birmingham at 08:05 this morning.

It was in Halesowen on the 241 at 08:05 this morning though! That's what's confusing me
so if it was in Halesowen at 08:05, then i think it worked the following,
08:05 Halesowen to Dudley arr 08:32 (241)
08:38 Dudley to City arr 09:27 (140)
09:35 City to Dudley arr 10:22 (140) not really in time to make 10:23 241,
therefore i think it makes
10:38 Dudley to City Centre arr 11:27 which puts it on course to be at Halesowen for 16:05.

Ask then. Chances are you'd see one unusual working at least with what's going on today
Just got off 4853 on the 67 :)
Also, completely off topic - got on my first bendibus today! The omnicities are nice inside.

Just a question. Is the 67 fully double decker on sundays?

Yes Nathan, a single may sneak on it from time to time, but no bendi's on there on Sundays

Possibly a candidate for the most unusual working
WA Gemini 4681 on 335!!
What's usually on the 335? Not my area
The 335 has the same driver on it every morning Mon-Fri 0630-1100 and can't drive many Volvo B6 because he is quite tall. 335 has many tight streets and a lot of parked cars and a Scania/B7RLE would not be possible on this route. If 4681 was allocated for this driver there may be more sightings of Gemini on the 335. I'm not sure whether the route can take double decked low trees Ida Road, Scarbrough Road
Very rare for anything to go on 335/336 other than Volvo B6. Never seen one in 6 years since at Walsall.
Having been round Alumwell a few times, how come Walsall didn't keep a few Solos to cope with the dodgy parking etc?

The optare solos are wider than Volvo B6 and harder to drive. There was a lot of issues with optare solos at Walsall more was off the road then on the road. Very unreliable vehicles always overheating, breaking down etc. They only lasted at Walsall 15 months. Glad to see the back of them.

Of course, if this is someone else's picture, please feel free to let me know. If my memory of Dudley bus station serves me correctly (which is where this picture looks to have been taken), although the bus shows Wolverhampton as the destination, it actually appears to be parked at the Birmingham-bound stop there.

I was thinking that as well. Maybe it was an E journey from Wolverhampton, and is unloading here and about to head back to Wolverhampton.

It may have just done a 126E Wolves-Dudley and the driver may have just changed the display to go back to Wolverhampton.
Also I reckon that it is photo as he made clear that he "took it himself", whereas when he nicks other people's he doesn't say anything

The 997 does not need to be-de branded it says only
Birmingham
City Uni
Pheasey
Aldridge
As daytime required is 10 when only 5 are branded. However I think there are too many 51 route branded as many 51/935 inter work could do with loosing 2 branded for 51.
I agree with de branding as you say two of the 51s

So to get two B7RLE's (2002/8) is very unusual.

Not sure. I only saw 4587 in Wednesfield around 15:40 (Wolverhampton Direction) and Ashley Reported another trident on there. I think a bus comes out late afternoon on the 25/7 so could be that board

The 934/5/6 had a mix of buses yesterday, Gemini 4681, both leather seated and normal seated Enviro400s. I would think when the new roputes are settled dows, the 934/5/6 should have the 48** Enviro400s, and the 997 and X51 the high back seated buses.

Yeah usually an OmniLink. I think now I've seen every YW type of bus on the 84. Always nice to see something different. Its boring seeing an OmniLink on the 84, but stick it on the 61 and you've got a spotters dream. All nice buses to drive though.

When I saw 808 ('BOB') I couldn't figure out what was differant about it. It only made sense when two were parked together.
Anybody know of any unusual workings of which aren't on short running boards? The majority of rarities stem from Peak Runnings from BC.
Don't know where to put this information but here goes.
Best sounding Trident is 4164. Excellent sounding beast, and the air relief valve sounds identical to a Leyland Lynx when the driver releases the footbrake, brung back some nostalgic memories.
And I was driving behind 4147 and it was kicking out blue smoke from the exhaust. I hope they just scrap it if I'm honest.
But that 4164 phwarrr.

Saw an E200 on the 29 this evening but figured it was a peak extra, so fair play if you saw it during the day as well
On the photos uploaded today dated the 12th June did 1900 get put onto the 89 later in the day as it was on the 4 most of the day, was it possibly swapped for 1857 which was put on the 4 in a swap for 1900 to go on the 89.

BC put 3 extra buses out on the Pershore Road, and AG put 2 extras on the 1, but with few passengers getting as far as the Town Hall, probably because Claribels were running from Hill Street, and lots of people turning up at St Martins Queensway we called one of the AG extras round to do a 45E. Acocks Green had obviously thought this might happen as they had nicely programmed 45E into the destination of 4649 that morning!

They can send all the Presidents to Svalbard let alone Dundee for all I care.
Geminis can be decent but sound pretty much the same as Presidents, but faster in most cases
Whereas the ALX400 B7TLs sound completely different, might not be as fast but in this case their sound and character wins it

So far today seen:

What did I see then? Maybe it was Bleep..
Any other with a word in the number plates?
Well there is:
BLEEB which I call Beliebe (JB)
BLEEF which I call Beef
BLEEG which I call Bee Gee
BLEEH which makes me think of throwing up ;D
BLEEP
BLEER which is also throwing up
BLEET as in the sound a sheep makes
BLEEU which I call BLUE
BLEEV which I call Believe
BLEEW which I call BLEW
They're the only ones I make into words :)

It was bleeb! Justin hahaha I remember it now, thinking if that B was a D whilst waiting to turn right into Hill Street, Justin Beiber was in front on the 126 I'm sure lol
Before been withdrawn, 3610 carried C 8 NEX from its connex days
7022 on the 71A this morning, somewhat unusual to see the ex-Dundees on this route, although there was also one in service one day last week, 7021 from memory.
Forgot to say, I rode BLEEP on the 20:20 1 Wolves-Dudley this evening
5510, 5512, 5513, and 5514 all on the 59 today.
Matt I had BLEEP back to wolves from dudley so may have spotted you (10 spotter spotting points :) )

2027 81
For the vote, I'd say the WN1 is the route with the most unusual workings, what with the way WN are allocating the hybrids, pretty much anything at PL garage is known to turn up on there, except the B6s
824 - 53/289
1658 is a good merc, i couldnt see which one it was otherwise id have got it but BLEEP's Trident scream was good enough

Yes BLEEP was overrevving. However in my experience 1658 is a bad Merc, rather slow and very rough sounding. 1665 is one of the worst. I guess I'm just more used to the earlier better Mercs
1658 spent most of its life on the 404 and was one of the workhorses on the service so probably clocked up a fair few miles after working long days on both the 404/A. It shows as only 1525/1534/1658 remain of the 15 buses that had the on board announcements installed onto them and their for were used just on the 404.
The majority of Mercs are overrevving now. But I agree, 1658 is one of my favourites. 1706 is the best
554 on daytime 276 board.
1620 broken down on X96 at Wollaston traffic island at 11am.
All mercs are good, some rougher than others, some are bland, some appear all the time but their all good, i was abit more bothered about 1658 though as until last week i hadnt been on it since november 2011

544 - 246
2084 - 243/4
2068 - 81
1682 - 59 (all day. Rode it, good overrevving)

2154 - 246, on all night by the looks of it

Probably due to one not long leaving after 2013 (Although supposedly every 20 mins). 4563 came into Wolverhampton Bus Station not long after 2013 left. Plus the 126 isn't that busy at 20:00 on a tuesday evening.

I think these may occur more often now, but yesterday on Broad Street, on my way to City, i saw an Eviro 200 on the 29 Route to Northfield. Today however, on my way to School, I saw an Enviro 200 on a 29A Route to City. Both times i did not catch fleet number, also, both were unbranded ;D
Twice in a week i've been a on the toothpaste E400's on the 94.
I thought WB45 was an E200 route but in the hour i was in bradford place earlier 1589 1618 1695 534 and 569 appeared
244 - 34 38 and 39 (normally a college bus hence inclusion)
669 - 302
4307 - 29 (last time ill post any deckers on that run becoming more common)

Oh, I misunderstood. Thanks John.
I don't think the 3 goes on very late into the evening, so probably just finished service there and went straight onto the 126.
NXWM Spectra, I think you find the 3 does run late night with the last bus being 23:51 from the castlecroft terminus.
However yes what you say is probably true that 2013 came straight off the 3 and onto a 126

Are they taking the piss with the 336/337 routes at the moment? Because there's mentions twice now of deckers on them in the past month.

There was also one on the 5 heading into City roughly 17:20 in Sparkbrook, haven't noticed one on there for a while. There did seem to be a few Geminis on the 37 this evening, which probably explains these two.
Yeah but the 11 is supposed to be 100% President operation? Or is that after YW's transfers?
The 11 is currently President and Gemini operated. It sees more Presidents than Geminis usually
Not a working, but 2086 overtook me (on a 48) out of service on the Lordswood Road heading towards Bearwood this afternoon.
4722 was on the 33 this afternoon.

AG operate the 11, not YW.
At the last count (as of Tony's fleetlists 1st June) AG have 58 Presidents, and 37 Geminis.
I don't know the exact figures, but the 11 has a PVR of about 42 buses, the vast majority of which will be Presidents, with the remaining being used on the 1, 73 and 966 also. The Geminis predominantly are used on the 5 and 31/A services, with extras on the 11A/C and 37 services. But with AG, anything can happen, so Geminis will also appear on the 1, 73 and 966, which leaves you with the odd Scania and Eclipse 2 workings on the 11 and other services. Unusual working wise, you'll almost never see a President on the 5, and very rarely one on the 37.

I know AG run the 11.
I meant the 11 will be 100% President operation after YW's Presidents get transfered to AG?

Oh dear ;D
Would've been on the 126 though so what's unusual about that? Should've been put in the breakdowns thread.

Is this because of a bridge on the route or because of some of the steep hills?

Why would they be banned for being too tall just because of steep hills?
I'd say either a low bridge or overhanging trees with low branches

They're too tall to pass the bridge by Sarehole Mill, I believe. In the past Presidents have had their antennas knocked off by passing that bridge

That's the one, the bridge on Robin Hood Lane.
The President bus can physically fit under the bridge no problems, and they were used for some time on that route. As Tony has previously explained before, its the antennas on the roof (presumably for the RTI tracking device) getting damaged by passing under the bridge which caused the Presidents to get 'banned' off the 5.
Note that Geminis are regularly used on the 5 without issues.
(Thanks for the correction Tony, I don't think I meant to put 'almost never' in relation to the 5 ;D)
Speaking of Presidents, 4112 is out on the 37 this evening, passed it on the Warwick Road in Sparkhill as I was heading home.
Also saw another President (if not the same one, as I couldn't see the fleet number) this morning on the 37.
