One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Theres been a b7rle on the 4 most days this week covering for the omnilinks, Walsall could do with 2/3 omnilinks from Coventry to cover the 301/311/313 as b7rle's appear on these 3 routes frequently.

Routemaster on the 244 this evening!

...only joking, but I did see a London Transport Routemaster parked up in a bus stop in Netherton about 9:10 pm this evening. I remember it had a private registration plate, JJH something perhaps?

Think I saw the same Routemaster in Selly Oak at around 8am this morning with a big 38 printed where the logo is and it was destinated for route 38 also.

Got a feeling that a Routemaster is used for private hire such as weddings and pub crawls, would be JJD ...D and there are several of these in private ownership in the Midlands.

Remember seeing one a while ago on a wedding trip, but this was blinded for the 159.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

A Routemaster is parked up with PGS Logistics somewhere in Smiths Wood/Chelmsley Wood, branded for the 38. I think it is used for a charity or some such. It is 'JJD 494D'. there used to be a pic of it on David Francis's blog but that has been shut down now

Oh that's what I expected it to be anyway; Do any company still operate Routemasters? Midland Classic? No?

That makes the most sense, it was driving at a distance so I couldn't read the number plate but deffinately had 38 on the blinds and branded.
