The interior standard is perfectly adequate. They are just too dull, dark and bland

Agreed - the TV screens in the Hybrids proclaim they have "brighter interiors". If brighter interiors are such a positive thing to shout about, why not give all new buses brighter interiors? Green fabric and yellow poles can't cost more than red and grey, surely?

Makes you wonder why they have stuck dark green stickers over the Enviro 400's used on the 9. They have dark, gloomy interiors I can assure you.

This was posted today on the NXWM website. Seems a little late as the E200's have been on the 222 for a while now. It also says that the eight vehicles are a £1.5 million investment - that's £187,500 each? Doesn't seem right...

wilmotm (Matt Wilmot)

Well Southdown PSV will sell you a brand new Enviro 200 39 seat for £116,000 though I imagine NXWM will have got them for less than that what with a fairly large order and not going through a broker so not quite sure where they've got £187,500 from

It says PE's Enviros will have next stop announcements. I wonder if the other Enviros will have this feature
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
Local Routes: 21, 89, 48/A, 12/A, 54/A
Semi-local routes: 80, 87

Any possibility the £1.5M was for all of them, not just those 8?

That would put each bus at £50,000 which seems a little too cheap.

Valid, it would appear I have lost the ability to do math, nevermind

Well it clearly says the £1.5 million is for the 8 at PE for the 222 and says the same on all the leaflets which I have nearly 500 of to deliver over the next couple of days through peoples doors, NXWM really stepping up there advertising at the moment

Maybe they're including refurbs for the E400s within that figure too?

Or maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree...

West Bromwich today,
533, 812, 815, 816. 819, 820 and 821 0n route 45.
813, 814, 817, 818 and 822 on 46.
1702 took over from 813 which then went out on the 43. Was the driver not yet trained on the Enviro's?
626 came in on the 5 and then went out of service at about 10 30 a m.
I saw 11 B6's, but not as many 36XX Darts as usual.

May be just me, or was it published somewhere that the new Enviro 200s were for the 47/47A?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).
