Think also it is the fact that PE have some newer buses to follow, for years its been B6s, Mercs B10bs, B10Ls, now we have B7RLEs and Enviro 200s as well as the Enviro 400s.

Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Turning back the clock a little, but here it is on the 289 in Merry Hill on Tuesday 2nd April: http://www.flickr.com/photos/nitromatt1/8661482748/in/photostream

Sorry for being simple, but why is 823 famous?

It's already been put on every PE route except the 9, 120 and 141

I see, I see. Blimey you black country lads are certainly enthusiastic!

I am more than enthusiastic, I am mad about Black Country buses ;)

Don't get a girlfriend then, bus interest drops dramatically lol. Do ya reckon you'll be a driver when you can then?

I have never wanted a girlfriend (or boyfriend before you ask!)

I will get (or try to get - don't know how good I'll be yet!) a PCV license, but how much I'll use it I'm not sure yet. I'm already involved at The Green Bus, only voluntary work at the moment (which I very much enjoy!) but it is likely to lead onto paid work by the summer

Oh that's positive, very similar to what I was doing at an Independent when I was younger. Rules were slacker then so I was doing more then cleaning if you catch my drift. All gone now. The scary thing is, what if these are the good old days?

However, gaining your PCV licence can be the best or worst thing you do, dependent on various variables. For myself, its the best thing I've done ever. Reccomended. Highly.

Could you tell me anything about the variables about getting a PCV license, and also the costs involved?

In fact, message me, so we don't clog up another thread ;)

222 today and haven't seen 826 so could be covering

826 was seen in Dudley bus station at lunchtime with a number of drivers on it, the destination display said something like "Bus Users UK"?

Oh right, there were a few PE buses heading all over the place today, a few came down the Himley road with a few drivers on board so something was going on

That's interesting, maybe route learning, but what route?

Interesting, went to PE again today, as i arrived, 508 was just leaving with drivers on board, and a white B10B was parked over the far side of the garage.

Are PE getting new routes?

Andrew1991

The B10B is out for training spotted it in dudley aroun 12pm

I've noticed a number of PE's Enviro 200's including 823, 826 & 829 have all got bent skirt panels between the rear wheel arch & emergency exit doors on the offside only, I wonder if the speed humps on Pensnett trading estate are the culprit?

Valid, but face it it's only a step up from other garages putting them on busy routes like WB on the 5 and BC on the 14/45/47 etc
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

wilmotm (Matt Wilmot)

222 today, but on a separate note they do seem to be taking an age to add the next stop announcement systems, but I can't imagine its that hard as all the hardware seems to be installed already
