Noticed this evening that a PN Merc (1639) has Bilston Bus Station on its top blind, and via Bilston on its lower blind. Have PN ever operated any routes to Bilston? Why is Bilston on the blinds?

Ahh.. that would explain it! A little before my time. ;)

I noticed Wednesbury on there, were there any services to Wednesbury?

I don't think so for Wednesbury.

The Bilston services were as follows destination wise

523 to Portobello (then to WB when the 523 got extended to Wednesbury, then to Diamond, now the 23)
263 to Dudley via Gospel Oak (ex WN - WN also did a 262 but that got withdrawn prior to PE taking the 263 IIRC)
270 to Dudley via Tipton (Post 222 launch)*
270 to Merry Hill via Dudley (back in the late 90s before the 222 existed!)*
283 to Merry Hill via Dudley (Partially replaced the 525 Bilston - Dudley and replaced the 93 Merry Hill - Priory. Got replaced by the 583 in parts then the 81/82)*
223 to Gornal Wood via Sedgley (originally WN I think)
224 to Dudley via Sedgley (originally WN I think)

* - IIRC these, or a version of these were operated by Merry Hill Minibuses Limited aka Travel Merry Hill

4199 and 4200 both on the 9 this afternoon. Judging by the timing 4200 is more than likely on the 16:22 peak again which stays on to do the 3rd last 9 (22:50 from Stour)
