Fleet allocation is currently 112 vehicles, comprising 12 x Volvo B6LE, 47 x Merc 0405N, 23 x Volvo B7RLE & 30 x Enviro 400. Further new midi buses are due for route 222 in Dec, which may well see off the last remaining Volvo B6LE.

Pensnett garage is currently undergoing re-development work with an additional plot of land now acquired, a second unit is also been taken on to house part of service support (major re-build/ re-furb unit). I wouldn't be surprised if the allocation increases in due course, plus there are suggestions that part of the reserve fleet may be stored their,

Extraordinary - so it could replace part of West Brom and wherever the reserve fleet is currently held (Lea Hall presumably?)

I believe the plan is to move part of the reserve fleet there, as LH is still for sale. They could potentially also increase the allocation, they could close the overflow bus park of WB garage and shrink the allocation, but a number of people who work at WB garage don't seem to think that is an being considered as a option. It may be that the land has been acquired for potential furture expansion should the need arise...... time will tell

Look at it as a challenge...... it would certainly give you more responsibility & experience, which should also in turn mean higher pay. There can't be many major maintenance issues with one year old coaches.

1697 been at pensnett all week with blinds fitted. theres still talk that pensnett only want one type of decker and thats the enviro 400 early perry barr ones still mentioned

karl724223 has mentioned on another topic that Pensnett may still be getting some early PB Enviro400's. Is this still going to happen? Would be nice if it did.

I will be very disapointed if PE get some of our BU07 enviro's as they are the best we have got. I would much rather see the new 33 ones sent there! As much as i doubt it will happen!

Wonder if other garages will follow suit. The digi blinds really pick up the appearance of the bus, make it look just that bit more fresher and more modern.

New ones I saw on Monday were 1629, 1630 and 1649. Along with 1640 and 1644, that takes it up to 13!

I wonder what digi displays would look like in a TWM liveried Mercedes.

Also, are Mercedes at other garages likely to get the same treatment or is it just a Pensnett thing.

Or 1743 has been done because it had a refurb? You could say similar for 1627 having a refurb / repaint

Surely not all the R & S reg Merc's are going to b withdrawn just yet, to date we only know of 21 new Hybrids due for 2013, I believe NX still need to order another sizeable batch of new buses to honour the 3 year quality partnership commitment they made with Centro

Popped down to Pensnett garage this morning at around 11am, there were still 6 x Enviro 400's parked up in the yard out of use between the peaks, one did however look as though it had only just been returned from the paintshop, I couldn't tell if it was 4817 (which may not have yet re-entered service) or another one which has been treated to a repaint / retrim?

I thought the recent 9 timetable changes were designed to reduce the number of extra peak workings required & total Pvr?, 20% of Pensnett's Enviro fleet were still parked between the peaks today, not sure if this is a typical weekday occurrence,
