82A       Balsall Comman-Solihull
332       Walsall Circular

Most of these are blue diamond aswell in my opinion merging the two companies together and sticking with the black diamond name as its seems the more sucessful part of the group or calling it just diamond and use to the garages both long acre and tividale and allocate certain service to each garage to eliminate dead mileage for one as services like the 16 and 50 would be better working out of long acre than tividale, have u got the link to the vosa website woody38 as i cant find an up to date one stating these changes thanks

The 37/56/97 certainly makes sense as it seems clear at the moment that Diamond do not have enough buses that will meet the emissions requirements from January 2013 for all their City Centre routes, and certainly having seen some of the loadings on their 37 service recently they can't be making much on there, and I imagine NXWM wouldn't have to put on any extra buses to cope.

Wonder about the 30 though, and whether another operator will take it over and have a go, though I think it might only survive as a peak-time 'school service', as that seemed to be the only times (when I travelled on it when operated by NXWM) it ever had any full loads.

Oh, and the VOSA site is here: http://www.tan.gov.uk/tanen/VOSA_SelfServiceOpBusRegSearch_New.asp
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

The 56 in the daytime is commercial and they have just got the hybrids for the service and is very popular so why withdraw it

Most of these are as a result of the October tender changes, now they are appearing here I can put on the odd ones I mentioned earlier. The 56A evenings has been won by NXWM (yes they do win some tenders!) they will be operated as 935As, see the route/timetable change for that also registered today.

The Arriva route, that they have not won the tender for is the 33A, Walsall to Brownhills which you will notice has been regsiered by Diamond.

So are diamond stopping the 56 daytime then because its a good route with good loadings.....

I be surprised if it included the commercial journeys, it's probably just the tendered journeys that NXWM have won and are of the same registration

Yeah Winston i would think your right im suprised there leaving the 97 though as its an ex petes travel service and has been operated for long time now by diamond and its predecessors. I guess this will cause a mass withdrawal.

PM

Fair enough thanks for the info tho glad 37/97 going-they should add 17 to the list as well

Rotala are obviously finding it tough to make decent returns of some of their commercial services and can't justify the cost of upgrading the fleet to meet the minimum Euro 3 requirements in Jan 2013. I always thought the 97 did alright loading wise, I knew the 37 didn't carry very many passengers

With Rolata also loosing the 30 & 82A, I wonder where those Signature branded vehicles may end up?

Ash

Might transfer to black diamond for the 16 to meet emmission requirements on that service

Vosa definately has all journies deregistered.

Here is their registration history on the 56
.The last change which was on 22-JUL-2012 was to the commercial journies. This registration PD0001374/43 has now been cancelled completely
                         Change number      registered       effective from
PD0001374/43   12   Registered   25-MAY-2012   22-JUL-2012

PD0001374/43   0   Registered   24-FEB-2006   27-FEB-2006

If they only meant to cancel the tendered journies it should have been a variation, not a cancellation. So it is one of three things
1) They have deregistered the commercial journies
2) Someone at Diamond has messed up and accidently cancelled everything
3) They have done a variation, but VOSA have recorded it as a cancellation

Thanks for that Tony,

I thought that there were numerous complaints from passengers when the Hybrid Versa's operated the route due to insufficient capacity. Surely it's got to be a mistake; if not could be an opportunity for NXWM

Ash

Is there a link to vosa stating these changes i cant find them on the website thanks
