Right boys and girls X10 limited stop quinton to Birmingham
Which stops do you think should be the stops ?

CL

Out:
- Colmore Row
- Broad St, Sheepcote St
- Hagley Road, Ivy Bush
- Hagley Road, Manor Road
- Hagley Road West, Bearwood Interchange
- Hagley Road West, Wolverhampton Road
- Hagley Road West, Quinton Lane Island

... Of course, it will be interesting to see what stops it will serve; I think my choices are reasonable for the uestion, considering..

Personally, I think from Birmingham city centre, it will serve all stops as far as Five Ways, Francis Road, from there it should go limited stop along the Hagley Road.
Somewhat akin to the 900/957 between Hay Mills and Yardley, where it serves alternate stops.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Personally...
- All stops on Broad Street
- Bearwood
- Wolverhampton Road
- Quinton (Toby carvery whatever that stop is actually called)
- Quinton Church
- Quinton Long Lane
- Halesowen
...Then all stops.
Really doubt it'd be that good an express route though, will probably just end up being a half arsed affair like the 900/957 between Hay Mills and Sheldon

Oh, please tell me there not going ahead with this daft idea??
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

The real big advantage of the 900 and 957 though is that stretch along Small Heath Highway, but then again any advantage is lost if the traffic is bad. But on a good day, like this evening, I did get from Bordesley Station to Swan Island in 9 minutes!  :D

On I'm not fully knowledgeable on that side of the City but as long at it stays "limited" stop then good. The X51 after city stops somewhere after Perry Barr so as it follows a similar set up, ideally after Bearwood and take advantage of any highways.

You see, now this is where it confuses me - has it been confirmed that it'll follow more or less the same route as the 141?

I wasn't sure if, after Quinton Lane Island (AKA Toby Carvery ;) ), if the route would go on to use the Quinton Expressway. ???

Like the old 19 or 919 they didn't work why will this?

GeminiFan1991

Is the limited stop strictly between Birmingham - Quinton or will it apply to the whole route ?

It will work because it will no doubt use upgraded buses and is a like for like replacement of an existing route, just with a few less stops. Whether it will knock much time off journeys in rush hour remains to be seen. The X51 is an Express route that uses the underpasses and flyovers and has genuine limited stopping. Limited stopping across a section of road that can be a slow crawl into and out of town during peaks might not bring the same benefits.
