I am actually surprised that the Volvo ALX400's are getting attention. Even though they are reaching 14 this year.

They're the same age (slightly younger) as the 41**s and there's not as many as them

You would have thought their life expectancy didn't extend beyond a couple or three years max - however maybe some of the earlier NXWM repaints are considered too tatty for service?

One look at 4249 would answer that question

Have you seen 4237?

Saw it today actually. Touché, rivals 4249, a pretty average bus, desperately needs a repaint though

The photos Tony's put of 4661/2 on the main site look stunning! Stick a private plate on these and you would certainly not know they're now 10 years old... Certainly reinforces how good recent repaints/refurbs have been and how timeless the Gemini design is...

The Geminis are literally that good. Happy to see my favourite Gemini 4512 today back to WB on the 82/87

Hopefully that's another one due to come back to AG soon.

I hope not. But I have a feeling you may be right

4237 which John mentions was the first 42xx Volvo to recieve the new livery at BC so it was last repainted a good while back.

Also 4162 must be a candidate for repaint as it has several creases to its lower near side and is looking tired and faded. (Still drives nicely though).  :)

At Walsall 4128/4136 are showing faded red now think there repaints date back
To 2010. Remember 4128 painted allover white prior to the desicion of stage coach takeover.

I think most of the buses that have full connection bars are due repaints as these were some of the earliest in the new livery.
