Some of TGB's older buses have particle boxes on, which convert the engines to a euro 3 hence why you see older buses from them in the city centre. Also TGB were supposed to send 15 buses to Glasgow for the commonwealth but have only managed to send 10! Personally I don't see TGB lasting much longer.

I thought step entrances were banned totally though. ?

All core services have to have diptac compliant vehicles

Not yet technically. Double decks are fine for 3 years or so...

They are not supposed to be used on frequent services in the Birmingham QPS area

Isn't it because the Tridents have gone to Glasgow for the Commonwealth games?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Surely they should make sure that their normal duties are booked out with compliant buses before going and sending 10 up to Glasgow

Couldn't agree more! Yes they're sending them but if say VIP had hired several vehicles out on one particular day and then used non-dda compliant/lez compliant buses in service people would have slated them.

I believe Centro are not happy with a few things Green Bus are doing on the 50

Can't TGB be fined for non compliant buses being used.

Two days in a row now they've had Tridents on with working LEDs that don't even have the 50 programmed into them... 103 yesterday, 104 today, thank goodness for A4!
