E989VUK (2989) is owned by a TGB driver and I believe wont even be used on school runs as of the end of this school year, shame 313 cant also be preserved

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

How did you find that out Ashley? Even I hadn't been made aware yet. Withdrawn for mechanical reasons or due to sale?

458, 462 and 464 are ex Reading Buses and previously Harrow. 460 and 469 also were, but have been sold on since. 313 and 989 (and if anyone remembers back to 63 which was 3063, but left TGB about 2 years ago) are of course ex TWM :)

Yeah I heard about that - possibly the last public Metrobus working in Birmingham ever!

Having said that, the school routes are technically public routes too

I will check with contacts regarding 464.

Just to add, Spectra 204 was getting rather hot and bothered on the HC2 today! Even had steam coming out of its... ears

I saw 02 driving around and blinds say avaliable to general public (or Q2) so presumably they are public :-)

Yeah as long as you have money for a fare (or concessionary pass) anyone can ride any of the school routes. So if you see a Metrobus you can flag it down

Dylan4579

Why don't TGB accept bus???
Doesn't every operator have to???

weird how they accept concessionary and not nnetwork/nBus - i presume fares are same as 50/50A?

Do TGB have any dealings with Centro?
