109 on the 50 vice 116 which had ticket problems

A shed for a shed... sounds about right!

109 is a terrible bus due to fudged up gearbox, above 35mph not a problem but 3rd gear is messed up meaning going uphill it has a tendency to drop down a couple of gears, then shoot off and change up a couple, then lose power and drop a couple of gears again, etc...

Slowest bus in the fleet though is 121 which is not allowed on the Hagley services due to the fact it would not make it up the Hagley Hill!

If its so useless why did they spend all that money refurbing it, seems a bit stupid

I don't think it was so 'useless' after the refurb but I believe the fuel pumps have gone hence the performance issues

Doubt 458 as it wouldn't fit in with the HC3 rota, then again they are very short of buses of late

ilovetea4370

It was 464 and I did it on its last 3 trips :) I may or may not post a picture to the MCW Metrobus facebook page later, depends how I feel :P

Steveminor

Would be interesting to have a picture as this breaks centro SQP rules step entrance buses should NOT be used on stage carriage routes in the City Centre

nitromatt1

464 is the worst Metrobus in the fleet lol. Slower than a B6, shudders every time it stops and makes a weird sound when ticking over that makes it sound like an alien craft to me

ilovetea4370

I thought it was great myself, it had a funny way of flicking into neutral which I was rather amused by and a loud / double? retarder :P
You can tell I've missed the metrobuses ;)

Trust me, any other Metrobus would have been better. Still, I'm probably saying that because I'm too used to them lol

Put it this way I wouldn't have bothered if it had been a ZF Trident so any metrobus is better than no metrobus in my eyes ;)

I agree with you there ;) besides they'll all be gone in a few weeks, except probably 989

Thought 989 had been sold Matt?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

It has, but he's still letting them use it in service for now, he drives my HC2 with it usually. Not sure when he's going to take it out of service

Liverpool Street

Ahh, so its been sold to a TGB employee?

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.
