Until about 18:30!

Well it was every 11 minutes then went hourly by 7 (Ran till 23:00) last year so probably an evening service isn't needed on the 59 on Boxing Day

Every 11 minutes would be excessive, let alone every 9 minutes. I'd put 3 buses on there on boxing day operating a 20 minute frequency on Boxing Day. Then down to hourly with 1 bus in the evening, not no service at all.

Well its obviously used as the boxing day frequency has never dropped below 15 minutes so obviously needs to be more frequent than 20 minutes

I think the only routes which could warrant a Boxing Day service with a frequency as high as that are selected routes into Birmingham city centre (e.g. 37, 50, 97)

Also, some routes serving major shopping centres deserve a respectable frequency, as some shops will open on Boxing day and many people flock to the shops to pick up post-Christmas bargains

Yes and the 59 does serve a major shopping hub (Bentley Bridge) and serves a main midlands hospital

I wouldn't call Bentley Bridge a major shopping hub, I was referring more to places like Merry Hill, Perry Barr One Stop, and so on.

I hadn't thought about hospitals, but if New Cross deserves a frequent bus service, then it seems strange that Russells Hall doesn't.

Trust me Bentley Bridge IS classed a a major shopping hub but i'm not going to argue about it. Either Way NX obviously see that the 59 needs that frequency

And the Outer Circle, which I imagine will be well used on Boxing Day with a frequency for every 15 minutes
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
Local Routes: 21, 89, 48/A, 12/A, 54/A
Semi-local routes: 80, 87

Excessive. Some of the buses would be far better utilised on other routes such as the 126, 255, 529.

I have a feeling the 9-minute Sunday frequency won't last forever on the 59.

Tbh the 59 has pretty good loadings on a sunday and does need a frequent service. But i do think the 126 should be slightly be increased to every 15 minutes on a Sunday.

With Sunday service operating this means some services that have never oprated on Boxing Day before will operate.

Will companies like Arriva and Travel Express operate this year (With it being Sunday Service) as they didn't last year, NX and Diamond coveres some of those WN routes last year such as the 28E

My idea has always been to take 2 buses off the 59 & operate a 15 minute frequency, and those 2 buses are put on the 126, giving the 126 the same frequency of 15 minutes

Or just operate the 126 with an extra frequency. There are 100's of buses in the garage on Sunday
