4255 had an engine fire while on the A52.

Apparently one of our ALX400s has suffered an engine fire while working the A52

Electrical fire. The engine is fine, donated to keep 4253 on the road

The body wasn't damaged at all, just I heard the fire destroyed a lot of the wiring, and would cost more to replace than the bus was worth

There's plenty of ALX bodied B7 in service that could benefit from any spare parts to keep them going.

There are a lot of small differences between the ALX400 body on the Tridents and B7TL. The front bumper on the Volvo is thicker, the skirt panels are also larger on Volvos, window sizes on the upper deck are different, different sized engine doors in different places, vents. A lot of panels are probably not interchangeable between the two.

It will more than likely be stripped of most reusable spares for other Volvos, then scrapped. Or it might be kept at Miller Street and stripped when parts are needed

And the 41** tridents are still brilliant. Seems like nx withdraw buses for the fun of it
