Speaking of the 94, did NXOD give a date as to when the 94 would be receiving the refurbished buses?

No, just in early 2014. The most likely candidates for upgrading the 94 seemed to have been the E400's at PB that are moving to YW, so who knows now?

How many buses are required for the 94?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Opinions seem to be leaning towards thinking the Geminis will be used, but would that be an upgrade, the 94 sees Geminis anyway. Could be anything. May depend on which garage gets new buses

From NXOD's comments I was expecting it to be the 07/57 plate E400's as PB were having new for the Suttonlines, Gemini's wouldn't really be much of upgrade other than they will have been recently re-furb'd a branding may be applied. Problem is, there is little choice of cascade options for PB which either has Gemini or E400's. Very little new double deckers were purchased during 2005/6 & 2008-2010. Most went to Travel London instead or NX were in a mess and couldn't afford many new vehicles

The Geminis are looking nice now after their refurb. I would maybe swap some gems with B7 ALX at WB as they seem to use their Gemini's on any old route and refurb these to join the existing PB ones

But then PB's budget will have to used to refurb those ex WB Gemini when it could be being used to refurb their own ALX400's

PB's Gemini's look fantastic after the refurbs, still probably my favourite bus type in the NXWM fleet.

A bit of variety, had the desired effect.

Anyone heard if any ther consulatations are likely to take place next year like the current Southern/Solihull ones?

If they are on about faster routes old established routes like 31 i.e Gospel - City. Could you see them considering the same for i.e Castle Vale - City / Castle Brom - City etc. I only ask these questions as I reckon they really need to increase bus patronage again, if they are not expanding with increased fleets etc.

Solihull is included in the current South B'ham & Solihull review, with consultations ending 15th Nov

That's not what I  meant, sorry.

I meant after that one which is being implemented next Feb and its more South Birmingham than Solihull.

What I meant after that one has anyone heard rumours of other area's i.e East Brum/ North Solihull.    West Brum/ Sandwell.

I am also curious how come in the current ones they are only pin pointing certain routes.

Not sure of any future ones yet. I would think Dudley might be due a re-review before any of those areas as Dudley's was in 2009

They've simply identified certain routes within that area with known issues & suggested potential solutions for passengers to comment on before they actually make a final decision/change them. I think this is a much better way of conducting the reviews. There is nothing to stop passengers highlighting other issues/making suggestions for alterations to other services within the review area. If enough people comment they will no doubt look at these as well
